Review : Easy Silence by Beth Rinyu was my first book from this author and it will definitively not be my last. From the first page on she has a wonderful way of sucking the reader right into the middle of the story. Her writing is fluent, flawless and the storyline is moving at just the right pace.

I will not comment on the content as I always tend to say to much and spoiler once I start. So usually I only tell you what I felt when I read this book. And in this book I would use the line “I suffered” to describe my feelings.

Actually I put the book aside during reading several times as I felt I was not prepared for what I was sure was going to happen. Sometimes if the writer is good the reader knows what will happen without feeling that the story was to easy or obvious. And this book is one of those books.

I feel the world needs more writers like this one.

Review :Even if I have (thankfully) nor real life experience with agoraphobia like the main character in London from My Windows by Mary Carter, I still know quite a lot about hidden diseases. They leave people with a kind of “mark” giving them the feeling of being crazy in the eyes of others – additionally to the original struggles they have with their disease they also have to fight more often than not their surroundings just to simply believe them. This book tells us in a very sensitive way the world through the eyes of a “victim” and maybe this could help people understand what a daily struggle a person has to live through to accomplish the simplest task. As an outsider to this disease, I will never dare question the severity of any symptoms and I can only say that I felt the author found a approachable way to bring it near to the readers. The book paints a vivid image of London and the story flows at a steady pace, please enjoy this overall well written book.

Review : I haven’t read the other books of this series, but I can say for sure that is no problem as the third book can be read as a stand-alone. For sure, I will change this as this book really got me! I can’t wait to read the other books of this series! The best word to describe this book? Roller coaster-journey! From the beginning to the middle to the end-every chapter was filled with suspension, great characters, love, steamy scenes and a story line that keeps you on the edge all the time!

Moreover the story was touching. It was easy to actually really feel the characters…to understand why they do what they do. Combined with the awesome writing style Elizabeth Naughton used-this book is an easy 5 Star -read.

So I would like to leave a more personal comment in my review.

This book was very special to me. Because I felt the same, when I was in school. Maybe not to this extent, but I was a nobody in my class.

I did not have many friends. In front of my parents, I pretended that everything was cool, but the truth is that I felt scared and alone in this big World.

I wish I had such an advisor when I was back in school. This book made me also look at some situations differently.

Because in the end – all that matters is to be true to yourself and show who you really are.

Review : 5 beautiful stars for a deeply touching and emotional story! Besides the lovely characters and their characteristics, I loved the way the reader gets touching while reading this book! Right from the very beginning you just can’t do otherwise than connect with the things happening during the course of action . That’s what is so special about it- you just get sucked in! In combination with the plot twists and unexpected revealings this book has the perfect mix to make the reader feel-feel what the author described with an awesome set of words!

Seeing the Love by Sofia Grey is a well written short novel. Normally I hesitate to read short novels as they seem to always be lacking in the depth department. But this book was a wonderful exception to that rule. The story is placed very believable setting and told in a way that you can actually imagine everything to happen at any given time in reality. You learn just enough about the characters so you are not missing anything vital along the storyline. It is a nice and enjoyable read and I will surly pick up another book by this author.

Review : Even though Rebecca Zanetti’s “Over the Top” is the 4th Book of a series it was a comfortable Standalone read. The writing was flawless, fluent and the story idea was good.

I did not read the first 3 books, but I am pretty sure that there was some serious build up before Hawk and Dawn finally got their story in this 4th book. There were enough references to their previous encounters.

So I suspect that anyone following this series will expect to find something mayor within the pages of this book. But unfortunately the story could have given the reader so much more. I could not feel this “heat” that was supposed to be there between Hawk and Dawn – there were hints and references written allover in the book but it was like hearsay and the feeling was not transported to me as a reader.

So in total it was an OK read as a standalone but I guess – I would not be surprised to hear if followers of the series are disappointed with the development of the book as a part of that series.

I just finished reading “Remembrance” by Michelle Madow, which is the first part of the Transcend Time Saga. And I am not completely sure if I like this series or not. What I am sure about is that I want to read the second book now in near future, to find out how I feel. And I am actually considering leaving my “star voting” open until I am sure.

Elizabeth and Drew are two really likeable characters and the author managed to create an interesting setting that connects them to their former “self’s”. The story is told in a believable way and at a good and steady pace. The writing of the author is good and fluent.

So by now I guess you wonder “if she liked everything… what is her issue with the book?” … My issue is that just now I have no idea where the story is going. After finishing the first book I can only judge the writing and not the story itself. So while I am saying this I made up my mind to give my stars for this book with 3,5 which are only for the writing and not for the story.

I have a very specific issue with the story at this moment and I need to see where it leads to either get rid of that picture in my head or to confirm it. There were certain parts of the story when my mind was suddenly invaded with pictures of “Twilight” by Stephenie Meyer.

It was not even the story itself but just certain settings … like the description of two hands touching by accident in a car, than going dress shopping but leaving friends behind and this heated discussion between Drew and Elizabeth about Elizabeth not giving up on certain things.

I liked the Twilight books, so maybe this is just me, but to really find my opinion on the story I will have to read more. The end of this first book did not give me any direction it just left me with the feeling that something is about to happen.

But hey… that’s not bad is it ?So on to book 2 then …

Review : “The CEO Buys In” by Nancy Herkness was my first book by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. To think I almost did not pick it up to read…just because of the title actually…unbelievable. I had so many “CEO” novels lately that this title did not really draw me to the book, because you come to think of a certain style of book when reading certain “slogans” and unfortunately “CEO” is one of those words for me. But this is already everything “remotely negative” I could say about this book.

The story itself leaves no wishes open that a reader could have for a well-developed and well written novel. This book feels really like a romance novel and I totally loved the relationship between the leads. It felt good and believable – as a reader it was easy for me to think “this could actually happen” (at least in most parts), so it was easier to be carried away by it. I was pleased to find out at the end of the book that there will be further books about other characters we met in this one and I will surly read those too.

Review : “Bind Me before You Go” by Harper Kincaid is my first book from this author. I guess at some point (like many subjects before) also the BDSM theme will have been viewed and written about from any angle. So if an Author wants to do something “fresh” for his readers it will be quite a task to accomplish. So far, I believe I read quite a wide range of books on this subject and I believe – even if this book is not a total new angle – it is still very refreshing because it is not extreme. Lately it seemed that everything had to be “more” – but sometimes the old saying “less is more” is still true. The writing is fluent and the storyline well developed – the characters are very likeable and their problems/secrets are not too far-fetched. So in total a fully recommendable read!
