Title : The Consequence of Revenge
Author : Rachel Van Dyken
Series : Consequence, #2
Rating : 5 Stars (which aren’t enough)
Blurb : After losing his best friend to another guy, the notoriously too-confident Max Emory suddenly feels lost. He may have devastatingly good looks, an abundance of charm, and a claim to one of the biggest hotel empires around, but he has no ambition anymore. So when his fed-up friends decide they’ve had enough of his moping, they sign him up to be the next bachelor on the reality series Love Island. And between his pride and his forged signature on an ironclad contract, Max just can’t say no. Now he’s stranded in paradise with twenty-four women, one terrifying goat, and Becca, the breathtaking barista who already turned him down back home. The closer Max gets to Becca, the more determined he becomes to win her over. As she gets to know him better, things start heating up. But is Becca really after Max’s heart—or is she after the cash prize she could claim once the cameras stop rolling?
Review : Imagine to just lean back with a book. You know from the first book of the series that you seriously need to prepare yourself. Then, you take a deep breath. After it, you turn the first page and…….BAAAAAAAAM…..you get knocked out! I dont know how I am able to describe what this book did to me!
Seriously-f you start reading this book it just feels like you drown because of this mass of crazy and unbelieveable events which leave you just sitting with your e-reader thinking: “OMG,what must be wrong with Rachel Van Dyken to create such a book?” Actually right from the beginning it is just too much. Sounds like a negative review, right? But no! I don’t know how she did it, but with “The Consequence of Revenge”,you have to deal with a crazy story including kind of too many references, too many incidents, too many things that could never happen in real life. But it works , in my opinion even reeeeeally good! Even perfect! From the beginning of the story which deals with pick up lines (too be honest the shittiest ones I have ever heard of ;D), to the scenes on the Love Island where Max really has to proof that he is a man (even with Prada shoes he really should rethink), you just can’t do anything else exept of letting the words wash over you.
Max, the mermaid. Max, the participant of the Hunger Games(perfect description for what happens on the island). Not to forget little G and Hades in combination with Max’ boxers. Sounds crazy, right? Believe me, it is! So crazy that you will end up sitting at the doctor waiting while you just start to laugh so loud that everybody is looking at you, the nurse starts running for you and at the end you end up with telling the nurses how awesome Rachel’s books are. Forver #Team Max(Sorry Reid, but I would be still very lucky to get to know you better;) ). If you read the book this review will make more sense…..or probably not>.< Ok, no matter what: just read this book if you need something to cheer you up. Something which will make smile all over the face , even if you have finished reading a week ago.
