NOW precisely that happened that what I wanted to avoid and another of those things I dislike about those “cut” books….

Over the weekend I read now the remaining two parts of “Thirty Nights with a Bad Boy” by Shiloh Walker and what happened ? I have no idea just now at what point book 2 ended so I struggle now to separate the two remaining parts in my review.

But at least I am able now to confirm that I not only liked the writing style of the author but also the plot completely.

In total the storyline is kind of predictable but not in a bad way.

What I found refreshing was that it is for once not the man that has the Upper hand (moneywise). I liked that Sean was able to “sell” being an alpha male and being a whore and both of that without appearing “cheap”.

Ella on the other hand was interesting because she was a force when needed but broken in the remaining time – and she really pulled that off.

I liked their banter very much and it was an interesting change from the usual plot settings.

My first estimation was right this is def. 5 Star material But I stick with my 4 Star opinion because of the Novella cut …

What a complex and at the same time touching book! After reading the first three books of the series, I was hooked to receive book number 4 of “The Tapestry”-series by Natalie Alder. Thanks for this!

In this book,this talented author introduces us to Leslie whose past forces her to living a life in fear and terror.

She added so many different and at the same time interesting aspects to the story which made it almost impossible to put it away.

There is not just this farm life which seems to be the most important aspect when you look at the cover. There is so much more to explore!

I really enjoyed following the story-line, but even more I loved watching the awesomely developed characters and the change they undergo throughout the course of action. Definetly my highlight!

This book really connects a lot of different things that happened also ,in the past, which makes this book really complex, definetly meant in a positive way.

Following Leslie´s thoughts was so interesting as she has so many different sides. Combined with the different strings of the storyline(some that even refer to the previous three books of the series), it was a joy reading this book even though not everything in this book is just about rainbows and unicorns.

You get funny, sexy, scary, touching, ….etc. scenes. Scenes about betrayal and love which take you on a journey you won´t regret. So yes, I definetly recommend this book to you!

A story with a title that definetly describes what I could do with this really well written book: loosing myself in a story full of exiting twists, emotions and ups and dows! Even though this is a type of story I was never really into before, I really enjoyed this journey to another planet called “unknown territory” when it comes to the genre. THe story-line always keeps you on bay as you just can´t stop reading, because you really feel the need to get to know what will happen next. At the same time you sometimes need a break to take a deep breath as at some points the pace is really fast which results in a positive, but at the same time negative effect. I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters, especially the main character Sadie as she is literally lost in a world that is divided by two different groups. Seeing her struggling with life was “great” to see as this brought out a lot of emotions which made the reading experience an even more emotional journey.

All in all a story that definetly caught me off guard and surprised me!

hmmmm this is what I call intriguing …

I just finished the first part of the three part Novel “Thirty Nights with a Bad Boy” by Shiloh Walker. And I am stunned by the emotions it evolved in me. When I picked requested this ARC I knew that I would like the writing style of this author, or at least I was quite sure of that. But the plot could have gone both ways (at least that is what I thought).

What I did not expect were my feelings. This story is quit different from other stories where usually the female comes second after a strong leading male in a similar setting. Here everything works different and while the basic plot look familiar there are so many components working into the story that you can not quite put your finger on to what is actually happening next.

As the first part stopped like in the middle of something I can not give a final statement on the storyline in total. So I can only say – so far the character development is MORE then just interesting and good and the plot is so intriguing that I directly dived into the next part.

Last but not least this is a 5 Star plot so far but I am only rating it with 4 Stars because of my very personal dislike of the new trend that is cutting perfectly reasonable normal size books into short novella styles.

My only way to show the dislike of this “Book-to-Novella-cutting-style” is my rating therefore I choose to deduct a star. And even though I already thought the plot was very interesting I ONLY choose to request the reading of this ARC because I was supplied with all 3 at the same time. You wonder about my reason for this dislike?

Quite simple actually – series are already stressful to the reader when they contain the waiting but that’s life and OK as long as the next part comes out in near future. But when you have to add the fact that the normal reader tends to forget checking the number of pages before buying and is surprised to find a book ending after only like maybe 80 pages RIGHT in the middle of the story.

Not to forget the fact that with many books the total price of the finished 3parts is higher that a normal sized Book would have been.

I just finished reading “Saving Steele” the 5th book in the “Rock Falls“ series by Anne Jolin. It was my first book of this series and also my first book of this author.

After a struggle with all the character names on the first few pages it was an easy readable standalone novel that I truly enjoyed reading.

The plot is well developed and the writing is good. The only thing that I could complain about is the length of the story. As the story is good enough, but the page count is rather on the smaller side for a book, so the whole story felt kind of “compressed” to me.

I was missing on the depth at certain points during the storyline. But I must say I really – really liked the characters and I think I will go back to the other books and read some from the beginning.

So therefore I would like to recommend this book to other readers when looking for a sweet romance.

Sometime during reading “Call Me, Maybe” by Ellie Cahill there suddenly was a song on the radio that perfectly fitted to this book I felt. I was “Hello” from Adele. I choose to read this book because I was intrigued by the plotline. Critical readers might say that there were quite a lot of clichés inside that story and I honestly would not even disagree with them. I just might add that actually I did not care about them during reading as the story floated easily and it felt good to observe the main characters during their journey. The author developed an interesting plotline and worked it out perfectly. The writing is flawless and the characters very likable. I would even go as far as to say that it feels good for a minute to dream about something like this actually happening. So yeah, this is a romance novel as it should always be written. Not to much of anything but just enough of everything.

Every time I open a new book of L.A. Fiore, I am again surprised how she manages to weave a story around her readers like a fairytale.

You cannot help but simply crave more from her.

There are not big hidden secrets to reveal or whiplashes to endure, no misunderstands, great twists or turns like other authors use to capture the reader’s attention.

It is just the simple beauty of letters turing to words. The right collection of them at the right moment.

Yet there is nothing simple about this “His Light in the Dark”, her newest novel.

I think her biggest secret is that she found some sort of magical formula with which she can time travel.

Already in “A Glimpse of the Dream”, she proved that she could make 10 years pass like an Blink of an eye… but with “His Light in the Dark” she excelled herself once again.

She makes it seem so easy and effortless to write a book that covers such a long period in time.

Often I have seen other authors trying and failing to keep the reader’s attention while trying this, so I can only assume that she has a magical formula for it.

I refuse to give away any spoilers and anything you need to know you could read in the Blurb of the Book – so why should I repeat that here.

Mia and Cole are such wonderful characters that the reader cannot help but love them.

The book is told from both perspectives, but not just alternating as you normally find it in books, instead you always will find the other persons PoV just when you need to hear it, which also seems to be magic.

Read this book and if you LOVE it (yes love – I will not even consider writing LIKE) – than I promise you – you also need to read “A Glimpse of the Dream” and vice versa.

When I (or let´s say we) started blogging, I always dreamed of taking part in book tours for authors like Katy Evans. I read the other books of this series months, probably by now years, ago. At a time when she herself was a pretty unknown author (and what a talented one….)!

Some weeks ago we received an ARC for a book by Jodi Ellen Malpas who is on “this list” as well. Now being able to read “Legend” by Katy Evans in advance is the best present you could give to our blog. Thank you for this.

So to come back to the book….

I know what Katy Evans can do to you. She is one of these authors that can rip your chest apart, squeeze your heart until it´s nothing but a red puddle of blood and swallow it. And this is what she did with this book to me as well! You rarely see authors that are able to create what Katy created with this or the other books of the series.

She , again, created some of the deepest, most unique characters you can find while combining it with other characters from previous book. And those characters she succesfully put into a detailled and beautifully described setting that makes you feel like you are part of the story. A story that makes sense. A story that never left me bored. A story that touched me from the very first until the very last page.

This book is so precious. While reading it you want to take your time, because you don´t want to finish it. But this is what you just have to. Because you have no other choice.

Yes, this is how good this book is. So take a look yourself.

I am certain: finding a book that is so real is almost impossible!
