Cohen is a man apart on Bristol Island—an outcast loved by all but separated by his position within the community. Dylan is the newest resident in town, but she arrives with a dark secret and a desire to keep it buried.
But when burning attraction is thrown into the mix, his job and her secrets are quickly forgotten—that is until one impetuous decision renders a relationship off-limits, unethical, and utterly inappropriate.
Living next door to one another on the island’s isolated peninsula guarantees their paths will cross time and time again. With fate tempting Cohen to ignore his conscience and, for the first time in his life, gamble with the rules, will he risk everything for Dylan?
And what happens when Dylan’s past suddenly catches up to her? Will she find the strength to bare her soul to him? Or will she let her secrets take them both down?
Sometimes the inappropriate relationship is the most appropriate of them all.

ROYALLY BITTEN Synopsis:

I will not cry. I will not beg. I will remain calm. Emotions are for the weak, and I am not weak. My name is Rae and I will survive this. But I never expected him to call my name… Kylan Someone wants to frame me for immortal insanity? Be my guest, darling. I’ll just pick a fighter as my bait, a consort with a hint of defiance. And when the culprit attempts to bite, I’ll be the one who bites back. Because no one touches what’s mine, including the fiery redhead at my side. Welcome to Kylan City. I dare you all to come out and play.
Lexi C. Foss is an award winning and bestselling author of paranormal romance. She loves complex plots, twists and turns, and writing fantasy with strong, realistic elements. Many of her readers comment on how her worlds feel real, and she not-so-secretly wishes they were—at least some of them.
This is one of these books were I just don’t know how to rate it. There were times were I wanted to quit because it was annoying me but also times where I was really liking it. Basically I am on the fence.
After humans lost the war and failed miserably to be top dog the Blood Alliance was born. Where humans are no more than cattle where they are divided into factions. Where vampires and the lycans rule with terror, manipulation, indoctrination where your choices are being a slave or death. Where blood virgins are coveted, and blood day is a memorable day for all.
Characters & Chemistry
Kylan is one of the oldest vampires, he is vampire royalty but rumour has it that he is going insane as he killed his harem. He has his own region and he is known for his cruelty, sadistic and violent but he is not insane. Someone is trying to frame him.
What can I say about Kylan? I hated him at times and at other times I barely tolerated him but occasionally he did something good and I liked him kind of. We get a glimpse of his true nature and he is loyal, he treats his personnel and servants.
Rae has been at the university her whole life to train for the immortal cup and to be twelve who win immortal status. But there is a culling of all and well Rae is chosen for a harem which she despises.
Rae was strong at the beginning but somewhere along the lines she became very dependent on Kylan and I didn’t like that. She still had spirit but at times it was irritating that as a character she wasn’t what I wanted her to be.
I liked her but I don’t know she was so strong and defiant at the beginning that I missed that person at the end of the book.
There was too much sex here and I can’t believe I just said that but there was it took for me too much away from the plot. There is some sharing but that was the way of the world that the author has built. I found that to be quite disappointing.
Writing, Plot & Pace
The writing is good here and the author knows how to captivate you and write something truly unique. The author toned down on the repetitiveness here in this book which for me made it more enjoyable.
As I said the author has created a unique world. The vampire world isn’t really my thing I have always preferred shifters but this somehow worked for me. The plot of wanting the world to go back to the way it was or that all species can co-exist where humans once again have rights intrigues me very much.
The pace could have been better it ebbed too much for me and didn’t flow that well. There was a lot of push and pull and too much sex that also broke up the plot in places.
The Verdict
I really enjoy this series as it is unique. It does push me out of my comfort zone and to be honest I don’t really know why. It’s a dark and twisted world and I really enjoyed it.
“Linsey Hall’s brilliantly imaginative Mythean Arcana is THE must-read series of the year for fans of paranormal romance.” – Maggie Shayne, NY Times Bestselling Author of TWILIGHT GUARDIANS

Blurb : If I tell you right up front, right in the beginning that I lost him, it will be easier for you to bear. You will know itâs coming, and it will hurt. But youâll be able to prepare. Someone found him in a laundry basket at the Quick Wash, wrapped in a towel, a few hours old and close to death. They called him Baby Moses when they shared his story on the ten oâclock news â the little baby left in a basket at a dingy Laundromat, born to a crack addict and expected to have all sorts of problems. I imagined the crack baby, Moses, having a giant crack that ran down his body, like heâd been broken at birth. I knew that wasnât what the term meant, but the image stuck in my mind. Maybe the fact that he was broken drew me to him from the start. It all happened before I was born, and by the time I met Moses and my mom told me all about him, the story was old news and nobody wanted anything to do with him. People love babies, even sick babies. Even crack babies. But babies grow up to be kids, and kids grow up to be teenagers. Nobody wants a messed up teenager. And Moses was messed up. Moses was a law unto himself. But he was also strange and exotic and beautiful. To be with him would change my life in ways I could never have imagined. Maybe I should have stayed away. Maybe I should have listened. My mother warned me. Even Moses warned me. But I didnât stay away. And so begins a story of pain and promise, of heartache and healing, of life and death. A story of before and after, of new beginnings and never-endings. But most of all…a love story.
Review : I so far read I think every book of Amy Harmon and I love her style. But somehow I could not connect to that book – and belive me – as I love the author so much – I really really tried. I cannot even tell you why honestly … maybe it was a certain expectation I had after reading her other novels ? I am not sure – But something was missing. Others have commented that the “paranormal” things going on in the story were an issue – but NOPE not in my case as my absolute favorite of hers is and will be “Slow dance in Purgatory” and if that is not paranormal than I do not know the definition of that word. Somehow I was missing that “spark” between the to leading characters of the story – She was always saying how much she loves him and he was always denying the love … throughout the whole story and that gets kind of old. I can not feel that it changes for Moses at any point. I know it was only supposed to be him SAYING he does not love her – but honestly – it actually FELT that way too.. so it seemed strange for them to really have a HEA … well
“His gaze on me was intense, I couldn’t look away. I felt as if I was revealing my entire soul to him in this moment.”
The range of emotions I had experienced with Ronan felt like a topsy-turvy spinning roller coaster. Suddenly I was awake for the first time in what felt like years. Every fiber of my being was filled with heated desire, passion, lust and fear, and all I wanted was more… more of everything, more of him. How had I just lived these past few years only going through the motions? But, as glorious as all of this was, was I kidding myself? Could it be real? Or just a moment in time – a few days of thrilling and scary excitement rolled into one? The moment before you hit that first big drop on your favorite coaster, you fall, and then it’s over.
This isn’t your typical Hollywood fairy tale where the typecast ordinary girl next door meets the famous handsome actor and they fall in love. Despite the emotional and physical scars that serve as reminders of Holliday Prescott’s past, she has evolved into a strong young woman. Ronan Connolly has loved and lost, but he’s never been in love. The weight of Hollywood’s expectations and the scripted games people play have left him bruised but not broken.
He’s always followed everyone else’s script and she wrote her own. That was until fate swept in with other plans.
MATURE CONTENT
This story contains sexually explicit material and is intended for mature individuals over the age of eighteen

Saving Drew and people like him was how she gave back to her community. Now Drew Kimball was about to return the favor–giving her back her life, teaching her how to love….
Review : Well… what started out as a good Idea – got somehow lost along the way and just ended in an easy to forget book. I am not sure where and when it happend – It felt good when I started reading but when I finished I felt like “woow.. what happend” sorry…
Originally published in the Tropical Tryst box set, this edition of Starry Nights includes a Valentine’s Day epilogue that isn’t available anywhere else.
Sometimes even being a movie star can’t buy you a second chance with the girl you still hunger for.
But true love can…
Shane:
My life as a movie star has been great, don’t get me wrong. But after a while, it started to feel so empty.
I don’t know who I can trust. I don’t know if people want the movie star persona or if they’re interested in the real me.
I’m tired of the meaningless sex and the fake women. I’m ready for someone who’s real.
Someone like Maggie… my Maggie.
It’s been ten years, but when I looked into her eyes, I swear could still feel her in my arms like it was yesterday.
When I saw her, I panicked. I retreated into ‘movie star Shane.’
It’s become this habit I can’t shake after so many years.
Now we’re on opposite sides of this land deal, and it’s like she actually thinks I don’t love the island as much as she does.
And she thinks I don’t care about her.
But she’s wrong.
Maggie:
So, the big movie star’s come back to his hometown. No doubt to impress everyone with his good looks and money.
He actually has the nerve to try and buy up protected land on our island for his own use…and for profit.
Typical, selfish movie star behavior. Somehow I expected more though.
And then, he acted like he didn’t even remember what happened between us.
I guess I really was just one in a long line of faceless girls to him.
But I’ll never forget the way his lips tasted or the way his body felt when it was pressed against mine.
And now I have to pretend that I don’t remember either, otherwise, it’s hurts too much.
Shouldn’t be too hard, because, on all accounts, he’s turned into just another cocky bastard.
And if he thinks he’s going to buy up our island, he’s going to see how little all of his movie star charm gets him.
At least that’s what my head is saying…
I’m trying really hard to listen to my head right now because that million-watt smile of his is tearing me up inside.
Starry Nights is a steamy contemporary romance novella of 28k words with a very HEA. This edition contains an extended epilogue that is not available anywhere else.

Review : Short Time ago I said – it is really difficult to create a shortstory that has a depth in it So here is on example how to do it I LOVED IT You hardly hear anything about the background of the characters – where they came from or where they are heading is only touched on the surface Yet the story is missing nothing I drank every word and simply loved it … My first act after that ? Finding myself another story from that author – so would I recommend reading it … YES
