Review : When an author approaches you with the request to review a book, there is always this exciting feeling you have when you are about to find something good and. You jump to check upon the author – what he published so far and you check your sources like Goodreads or Facebook to find out if the new book this author is offering to you for a review might be something to devour.

Honesty is the most important part of a review – in direct relation to being respectful.

So I admit – when Clara Stone asked us if we would like to review her books, I (Jeri) was skeptical at first. Because when I saw the Blurb of the Book my Co-Writer Lauren choose to read ~~ Flirting with Love by Clara Stone~~ – I was not sure if I was in the right frame of mind for this kind of story.

Then I noticed “Forever Kinda Love” the first book in that series and I was drawn to the story like a moth to light. Maybe because I know from my own experience how it feels to take the step to change your best friend into your lover.

What can I say – the book did not disappoint. Ms. Stone delivers a fully developed storyline; my only complaint might be that the ending came a little sudden. I am not that big fan of the Epilogue Endings as I call them – but it worked out in this case.

Sometimes when following Heath and Ace in their journey I was wondering if it might have been better to make them a little older, because some of their discussions and actions felt so mature. However, in the end I think they were good just the way they were.

I believe the author put a lot of heart into both of them and the reader is invited to feel it from the first page right through to the end. I was impressed about the depth of Heath and Ace, their unconditional friendship felt really good and believable for me as a reader.

I am happy that I can give good and honest 4 stars to this book and I would like to invite all believers of true friendship to read this book.

Review : Sorry for my choice of words, but I am so fucking confused! Really….It took me quite a long time to actually sit down and start writing this review. In general reading this book was strange. I don’t know it was because of the fact that I wasn’t really able to reat at all these last days so it took me quite a long time to finish this boo. Or if it’s because I had so many expectations. So to warn you: this review could be kind of long. I started reading this book with mixed feelings as of course it is interesting to finally get to know what such a unique and perhaps even “strange” character that Christian definetly is has in mind. But at the same time I was afraid. Afraid because in my opinion it’s difficult to persuade a reader with a story that to be honest already exists. With the release of “Grey” all these reviews on TV, on the radio or Internet starting to pop up everywhere saying that this book actually is exact the same like the original one. No new scenes, just a “copy and paste-version”. This is something I don’t agree with. Of course, the story is the same in general. But what did all these people expect? IT`S NOT A NEW STORY, so yeah….suprise…. what you get is the story of Christian and Ana exploring a for both unknown territory. I loved the scenes which have shown me more about his past. Scenes about his life as a child together with his real mother. Scenes during which things I already have known from the first book became clearer, scenes which surprised me. The only thing I critizise at this point is the fact that I wish there would have been more scenes regarding his past with Elena or his other subs. Another thing I would like to talk about is the use of language. The way the author tried to make clear what Christian has in his mind was good and not interrupting as it was still possible to go with the flow. But one thing I desperately need to speak out loud: Christian has a lot of shit going on-this is nothing surprising. But I as a reader don’t want to read every page the sentence “Get your shit together, Grey!”. In general some lines felt like there were copied over and over again. Also speaking of his “favourite body part” got kind of boring after the fiftieth time.

What I love about “Grey” is the fact that you actually really get to know what Christian is thinking all the time. Especially as an female author it’s not easy to publish a book from a male point of view, especially if this is the point of view of a man called Christian Grey…or Giden Cross…or Jesse Ward or whatever. In my opinion she did a good job as the difference between Ana’s and his thoughts became obvious. I could write a novel, but I will try to shorten my review from this point on. Everybody who is interested to get inside Christian’s head should read this story. BUT this doesn’t mean that this book will change your total view on the story. It was a nice read and I won’t keep up with all the other opinions of which most are just screamed out to express ” I just can’t like the book because a lot of other peole love the book”.

You need to differentiate between the public and your own opinion. So please try to avoid reading other reviews and just let yourself surprise.

Review : This book was not bad at all. The story in general was good and could have been a fundament for an even better story. All in all there are good rudiments which show: there is a great storyline existing in the head of the author ,but is just didn’t came out the right way. Because of the fundament I rate this book with 3 stars. The story all in all in all felt a bit rushed which is why it was difficult for the characters to actually develop.

Review : Reading “Heart Grow Fonder” by Cristy Rey was intense as it deals not only with a critical topic (depression), but als includes the celebrity star-part that often doesn’t actually work out! But after finishing I have to say: I was surprised! It was awesome to see how authentical Jessie was described which made it easy to actually builp up a connection with her. Also I liked the way the author developed the story and how the topics were presented together which made it easo to actually feel the need to finish this book! The only thing I have to critizise is the fact that in my opinion it started to slow while the ending felt a little bit rushed. But even then, this book deserves 4 Stars.

Review : With “Date with a Rockstar” by Sarah Gagnon, you get a story including different topics glued together with a pretty good writing style. You are confronted with dystopian and futuristic aspects while at the same time also having to deal with a touching and realistic story. I was suprised how well it worked out at the end, especially because normally I am not really a fan of these reality shows. Moreover, I loved the fact that most of the times it wasn’t over the top which can easily happen when you mix up all those elements mentioned aboth. But even if all these aspects aboth scream for a five star-read, there are some things which made me decide otherwise. At some points it just felt like the author lost her strings which is why from time to time, the story line felt a little bit underdeveloped. Combined with some situations during which the story confused me as a reader, I sadly have to rate this book with 3 instead of 5 stars.
