Years later, Jessie circled the drain of chronic depression, spiraling out of control, and it was Tylerâs turn to save her. Who knew her best friend would become a Hollywood A-lister? Though Jessie credits Tyler for keeping her together, living in the shadow of her best friendâs celebrity isnât all itâs cut out to be. Itâs up to Jessie to figure out what she has to do to be happy: get better or get lost.Stardom is on the horizon for British television actor Boyd Kerrington. Heâs starring opposite Tyler Cantrell in an American feature film sure to blow his career out the water. For all the years heâs focused on his career, however, heâs settled in his personal life. That is, until he meets Tylerâs best friend, Jessie. Jessie is refreshingly cool, passionate, and compellingâ¦but sheâs also complicated. Worse yet, sheâs not interested in remaining in the celebrity stratosphere, even for her lifelong friend.
Review : Reading “Heart Grow Fonder” by Cristy Rey was intense as it deals not only with a critical topic (depression), but als includes the celebrity star-part that often doesn’t actually work out! But after finishing I have to say: I was surprised! It was awesome to see how authentical Jessie was described which made it easy to actually builp up a connection with her. Also I liked the way the author developed the story and how the topics were presented together which made it easo to actually feel the need to finish this book! The only thing I have to critizise is the fact that in my opinion it started to slow while the ending felt a little bit rushed. But even then, this book deserves 4 Stars.
