“A heart wrenching forbidden romance. A rockstar you can’t help but love. A strong heroine to admire. And a love meant to be. Scarlett Cole takes you apart and puts you back together again.” ~ Carly Phillips, NY Times Bestselling Author
Loving Izabel Bryson should be the easiest thing in the world. Heck, she’s been the inspiration for at least half a dozen of the songs he’s written for his rock band, Sad Fridays.
He’s loved her for a decade.
But she’s his best friend and fellow-band mate’s little sister, and he promised a decade ago that he’d never put his hands on her.
She can never be his, no matter how much he craves her.
Loving Matt Palmer is the most hopeless thing in the world.
The hours she spends working at the Manchester homeless shelter only go so far in distracting her from the painful truth.
He doesn’t want her.
Because she screwed up that awful night two years before when she slept with Matt’s brother. He will never be hers, no matter how much she yearns for him.
When a good deed leads to one bed, and one night of ruthless honesty, everything is laid bare. They belong together, but acting on it will cost them everything.
I know, I know I’m late with my review. I had a lot going on in the last few weeks and I was thankful when this beauty landed on my kindle. It was really a lifesaver. Scarletts books are always a guarantee for a good laugh, an ugly cry and lots of love and steamy hot scenes. This is what I needed after some stressfull weeks.
One Day Like This (Excess All Areas, #1) is the first book of an upcoming series about a band from Manchester. It’s the story about forbidden love. Which sounds a bit strange to me, because love shouldn’t be forbidden. But this is what I love about the stories from Scarlett Cole. She turns the impossible into a possibility. She always finds a way to make me feel every emotion and every feeling that the characters feel. She gets me every time. Her words are so pure and full of love. The conversations between the charactersare so deep and real, that you get no other choice than to feel with them.
The love story of Matt and Izabel is so special and unique and the love they have for each other is unbreakable. They get through every struggle, every dark moment coming their way. They handle it together. That is what made me believe in love again. I struggled through a dark time myself and I even stopped reading books for a time. I couldn’t handle anything. And now this story comes along and helps me through it. If Matt and Iz can handle anything, I can do the same.
Okay… sorry for the soulstrip, but this is what this book does to me.
If you know me and my love for Scarletts books, you know I have no other choice than to leave 5 stars on this amazing story. I’m so excited for the other stories. espacially Jase. I think he got some really hard and deep shit to handle.
