Review :
This is one of the hardest reviews I ever, EVER, wrote. And even while I am writing this right now, I am still not really sure what I should think about this book! Let me start here…. In general I have to say that I NEVER expected this sequel to be as good as the first book! It´s just impossible and everybody who wants to read the second book should know that because Me Before You #1 is a masterpiece. A book which sticks to my mind until today… So when I started reading “After You” I tried to be as open-minded as possible. What you get is the story of Lou who even after a lot of months, still struggles with the death of WIll. This as a basis of a book doesn´t sound bad, right? So here we go… Throughout the course of action you are confronted not only with Lou´s emotions, but also with the things and people surrounding her. Not to forget people as especially one (to be precisely I need to say two) influences the whole course of action. In general I loved this idea of dealing with what happened, but it my opinion the focus was set too much on information about Lilli which is why the focus on Will got lost (even if there is this special connection).I didn´t have this “Me Before You ” feeling, this feeling which made you sink deep into your cushion even if I cried, laughed and have been shocked more than just once….

Of course I wanted to get to know more about Lou´s life, especially after what happened. But for me, this specific story-line was missing as there are too many strings which in my opinion aren´t really connected. What I love about the sequel is the fact that you still can connect to the main character which is the most important thing. Because she is the one through which eyes I will see the story…So yes, I am still a fan of Louisa! it´s good to see what happens with their lives. To make it complete it would have been good to include Will a bit more into the story-line. Because in my opinion it´s logical that he must have preapred something, at least some letters Lou gets from time to time…. All in all a solid sequel with a lack of story-line that gets outweight throughout the characters.
