Review :The mixture of crime and romantic in the 18th century is absolutly stunning. Once more I have fallen in love with Venice. The describtion is clear and comprehensible. The characters are great.
At the beginning I suffered together with the Girl, but she was also a tough and strong woman, who fought for the right things. And in the end she got something that she had not expected. Love. It was even more stunning how the guy could “see”, even though he’s blind.
The describtion of the smell and the things he heard made me actually smell and hear the things too. That is what I love about the style of the writer. So after reading this book from a different time, my world of books just got a little bit bigger.
