The sixth book in the internationally bestselling Eagle Elite Series. *Interconnected Stand Alone* Twenty-Four hours before we were to be married–I offered to shoot her. Ten hours before our wedding–I made a mockery of her dying wish. Five hours before we were going to say our vows–I promised I’d never love her. One hour before I said I do–I vowed I’d never shed a tear over her death. But the minute we were pronounced man and wife–I knew. I’d only use my gun to protect her. I’d give my life for hers. I’d cry. And I would, most definitely, lose my heart, to a dying girl—a girl who by all accounts should have never been mine in the first place. I always believed the mafia would be my end game–where I’d lose my heart, while it claimed my soul. I could have never imagined. It would be my redemption. Or the beginning of something beautiful. The beginning of her. The end of us.
Review :
I am speechless! Really! Not only because I feel like I could cry over and over again! I am shocked how an author can become even better after publishing the other 5 books of this series. I was always a sucker for Mafia books-I like my men with pistols, Italian temper and a loose mouth. The last years I have read different kind of Mafia books. But now I have a problem? Why? Because there never will be any book belonging to the Mafia genre that will satisfy me the way this books do. I loved the characters. I already got to know them from the previous book(s). Learning ore about them was even better. The change they go through is described in a way which let you sit in front of the book thinking “How!?”. In combination with the story that leaves you breathless, there is no other option than crying. And I cried a lot….In the bus. In my bed. While walking through the city. And you know what!? I don’t have a problem with it because if a book touches you this way, others deserve to know about what a book can do to you.
Moreover this book screams Rachel! She has this special writing style you really should take a look at! So check out the Eagle Elite series and convince yourself!
