Review : To Tempt a Seal by Sara Jane Stone is the first book of the new âSin City SEALsâ series and my first by this author. The basic concept of this story was actually good but I have to admit that it was again the opening of the book who spoiled the fun for me. It seems that I have an actual problem with âInstant Loveâ. Even if the total subject of the opening was about finding a guy for one night, his behavior seemed âoffâ to me. I can not describe it in any other way.
For me to feel some sort of âinstant loveâ I need to know more of the character before me than what I was offered in this case. I need to feel for them, their background â I need to feel where they are coming from . I could work with her PoV âguy for a weekendâ turning into something serious – but his âinstant addiction to herâ was out of my reach. He was there to do âa jobâ and he did not even talk with her or actually see her really before he was already in âloveâ.
I was almost putting the book down when it became actually better, they talked and there was âsomethingâ that I could âfeelâ but around the middle/almost end of the book it was as much as I would have expected at the beginning to start with and by far not enough to â¦. (well read for yourself â not going to spoiler)
To make it short ⦠Its not a bad story if you can work around the concept of âinstant loveâ which seems to be a problem for me. The writing is good and the story itself is ok â Its an enjoyable âbeach readâ as I would call it ⦠go ahead and judge for yourself
