However, when her wildly-popular series Paranormal Hunters gets picked up by a big-time publishing agency, she’s thrust into the limelight alongside sexy, photographer-turned-cover model, Oliver Fairfax. Upon meeting, the chemistry between the quirky writer and arrogant model quickly intensifies, creating a steamy page-turner of events made for romance novels.

Then comes the plot twist.
Xanthe has secrets that have kept her bound to silence. And the truth has Oliver questioning every unspoken word.
Review :

Ten Thousand Words by Kelli Jean and a lot less words from me … because I am kind of speechless. This is SO totally not what I expected …

And I can not even say that I wasn’t warned.
NOPE … the Blurb reads
“THEN COMES THE PLOT TWIST” …
so dear fellow reader please DO TAKE THAT LINE SERIOUS.
Its funny from the first moment when I started to read the book I felt there was a different air about it. Everything different from the authors opening words to the first lines of the opening chapter.
Without spoilers to anything a fair waring to readers though as I hate to stumble into series myself. This book is meant to be the kind of “Opening book” to a series… but it will be no problem to read it as a standalone, the author took splendid care of that.
She also made damn sure that I will read the next book as well.
Because again I am in the position to honestly state I have never read anything like this …
Really – I promised myself that I would always try to avoid spoilers – but in this special case I would not even know where to start if I even tried to tell anything about the plot. I can only suggest to any reader to just jump in and let the story lead you.
I loved Ollie with all of his mistakes as well as Xanthe with all her layers. They were perfectly described characters in a interesting setting …a well balanced story that was written in a refreshing way. At certain points I felt myself compelled to compare the intensity of this writing to the way Jodi Ellen Malpas wrote “This Man” even if the setting is totally different.
THEN COMES THE PLOT TWIST and I leave you figure out what to think
