Kenna is tired of being “normal”. The only thing special about her is that she isn’t special at all. Which is frustrating in a world of absolutes. Villains, like the one who killed her father, are bad. Heroes, like her mother and best friend, are good. And Kenna, unlike everyone else around her, is completely ordinaryâ which she hates .Sheâs secretly working on an experiment that will land her a place among the Heroes, but when a Villain saves her life during a break-in at her lab, Kenna discovers thereâs a whole lot of gray area when it comes to good and evil and who she can trust.. After allâ¦not all strength comes from superpowers.
Review :
Your average Superhero novel usually has one or maybe even two superheroes living amongst Millions of clueless normal people. Right ?
Well then I guess âPowerlessâ by Tera Lynn Childs & Tracy Deebs is not your average Superhero novel.
As being a Superhero is the norm and being ânormalâ is what is unusual.
Kenna is just plain ordinary no superpowers of her own and her only way to change that seems to be to invent herself some powers of her own.
While doing that she realizes that not everything is as black/and white as she thought it to be. And maybe not all those villains out there are bad?â
Powerlessâ is a novel with well developed characters and a deep and engaging story.
Even though there is not really that much of a âworldâ constructed outside of the story â like for example in a âHarry Potterâ Novel â the reader is still not missing anything he needs to enjoy this book.
Still for me there was a little too much dystopian feeling in the novel to be one of my favorites but I guess fans of that genre will really like this book.
