When a call from Nico’s mother sends Jill and her daughter to Perugia, Umbria, Jill’s faced with the one man that shattered her heart and left her a changed woman. She didn’t expect to still have feelings for him, but now her main focus was being there for his mom and letting him get to know his child. Nico Bianchi spent ten years sabotaging his own happiness out of fear that history would have a way of repeating itself… Now sober and healthier than ever he’s ready to fight for his family. But just when he’s finally gotten through to Jill, ghosts from the past reappear and test his sobriety, threatening to ruin his new life. If he sabotages things again he knows, he will lose his family for good this time. Are soul-mates destined to be together? Jill wants more than anything to believe that she and her daughter are finally going to get their happily ever after. But with Nico’s past coming back to haunt him, she comes face to face with the reality that no matter how strong her love is for him, it might not be strong enough…and she may just lose him forever. Will Nico finally rid himself of the demons that haunt him once and for all? Or will Jill have to walk away to protect herself…and their child?

Remarks : I think this is a first for me to have to give a 1 Star rating to a book. But I made up theses rules so I will have to follow them.
Our reviewer Kate did not give any rating to the book but following my own rules I have to rate it.
Still the Blurb intrigued me so much that I will read this book for myself to find out if I personally agree with Kate or if I have a different oppinion.

Review :

Please note that this is my personal opinion and that the review is about the book and not the author. Well it is official but I can’t do it. I’m really sorry but I just can’t finish the book. For me it is a DNF at 53%. It takes either a very brave or a very foolish woman to forgive something like that no matter what the circumstances are. There were really touching moments when it came to this book but there were also times where I wanted to throw a hissy fit. Nico needs personality transplant. So Jill and Nico met when she was 18. He was instantly attracted to her but thought he didn’t deserve her so over ten years he hurt her, he cheated on her and behaved in the worst possible way ever. Now I consider myself to be a tolerant person but, I’m actually speechless. I’m sorry I don’t get it. She knew all along. Her brother was friends with him and they still had contact. No I’m sorry but blood is supposed to be thicker than water. It deals with topics that are of importance; drugs and alcohol and that was done in a really tasteful matter. There were too many ‘I this and I that’ in the book for me anyway. I really don’t know what to write. I can’t base it on any other of the books by the author as this is the first book that I have read from her. I can’t and won’t give it any stars. Please accept my sincerest aopolgies I wish this author all the best for the future. Book given to me in exhange for a honest review.
