Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills returns with an all-new swoon-fest of a novel about what happens when you look beyond labels and take a chance on love.
Sexy Athlete: I bet you… The text is random but Penelope figures out exactly who “Sexy Athlete” is. And why she shouldn’t take his wager. Ryker Voss. His bet? He promises Penelope he’ll win her the heart of the guy she’s been crushing on. His plan—good old-fashioned jealousy. Once her crush sees her kissing Ryker, he’ll realize what he’s missing. Sounds legit, right? The only question is…why is Ryker being so nice to her? Penelope Graham. Penelope knows she shouldn’t trust a jock, but what’s a girl to do when she needs a date to Homecoming? And Ryker’s keeping a secret, another bet, one that could destroy Penelope’s heart forever. Will the quarterback score the good girl or will his secrets mean everyone loses this game of love? *Author’s Note: This is a standalone sports romance with an HEA. **You do not have to have read I Dare You, although you should if you love jocks and nerdy heroines. 🙂 |

You can’t program loveâ¦or can you? Kayleigh Renshaw has come up with the idea for a brilliant “compatibility app,” a new kind of matchmaking software. All she needs is a programmer to help her bring the idea to marketâ¦and she knows exactly who she wants. But Niall Walshâa code whiz and her former best friendâhas been avoiding her since he returned from Afghanistan. In spite of their history, and some sparks that go beyond friendship, he’s proving reluctantâ¦. Is it her, or is something darker holding him back?
I was actually surprised by this one. Even if the plot is kind of predictable at times. I really truely enjoyed the developing or should I say re-building relationship between the two leading characters.

Dear Ms. Keane,
Before this ridiculous little arrangement commences, I’d like to make myself indubitably clear: I know who you are, I know that my father hired you, I know why my father hired you, and lastly, your services aren’t needed. In fact, I want no part of my father’s billion-dollar empire, and him “gifting” me with one of the “best concierges in the county” won’t change that. He’s wasting his money. You’re wasting your time. However, seeing as how you foolishly signed an ironclad contract with an Act of God clause and my father has strong-armed me into taking this position, it appears as though we’re stuck together—at least until your contract is up next month. That said, our time together at WellesTech should be relatively painless but please don’t fool yourself into thinking I don’t notice when that pretty little stare lingers a little too long or the way your breath catches when our hands graze. You’re fascinated by me and it kills you because you can hardly stand to be in the same room as me. Think I’m a problem worth solving? An impossible riddle worth figuring out? By all means, go ahead and try. Solve for X. Crack the code. It might even be fun (but only for me, not you). V/r, Calder Welles, II P.S. I dare you. |

Heartbreaker #2
Jill Swanson has loved Nico Bianchi since she was eighteen, but how much heartbreak can one woman take before sheâs utterly broken? After a tough year and a half Jillâs main focus is on raising her infant daughter and doing the best that she can with her situation. When a call from Nicoâs mother sends Jill and her daughter to Perugia, Umbria, Jillâs faced with the one man that shattered her heart and left her a changed woman. She didnât expect to still have feelings for him, but now her main focus was being there for his mom and letting him get to know his child. Nico Bianchi spent ten years sabotaging his own happiness out of fear that history would have a way of repeating itself⦠Now sober and healthier than ever heâs ready to fight for his family. But just when heâs finally gotten through to Jill, ghosts from the past reappear and test his sobriety, threatening to ruin his new life. If he sabotages things again he knows, he will lose his family for good this time. Are soul-mates destined to be together? Jill wants more than anything to believe that she and her daughter are finally going to get their happily ever after. But with Nicoâs past coming back to haunt him, she comes face to face with the reality that no matter how strong her love is for him, it might not be strong enoughâ¦and she may just lose him forever. Will Nico finally rid himself of the demons that haunt him once and for all? Or will Jill have to walk away to protect herselfâ¦and their child?
Please note that this is my personal opinion and that the review is about the book and not the author. Well it is official but I can’t do it. I’m really sorry but I just can’t finish the book. For me it is a DNF at 53%. It takes either a very brave or a very foolish woman to forgive something like that no matter what the circumstances are. There were really touching moments when it came to this book but there were also times where I wanted to throw a hissy fit. Nico needs personality transplant. So Jill and Nico met when she was 18. He was instantly attracted to her but thought he didn’t deserve her so over ten years he hurt her, he cheated on her and behaved in the worst possible way ever. Now I consider myself to be a tolerant person but, I’m actually speechless. I’m sorry I don’t get it. She knew all along. Her brother was friends with him and they still had contact. No I’m sorry but blood is supposed to be thicker than water. It deals with topics that are of importance; drugs and alcohol and that was done in a really tasteful matter. There were too many ‘I this and I that’ in the book for me anyway. I really don’t know what to write. I can’t base it on any other of the books by the author as this is the first book that I have read from her. I can’t and won’t give it any stars. Please accept my sincerest aopolgies I wish this author all the best for the future. Book given to me in exhange for a honest review.

Christina Hart has self-published eight books. Amazon Bestsellers include her poetry chapbook, Empty Hotel Rooms Meant for Us, and her vampire novel, Fresh Skin. Traditional publications include The Father They Didn’t Know (Penmen Review), The Chapstick Chick, (Too Much Anthology, Unknown Press), and The Babysitter from Hell (Monkey Star Press, coming 2016). She spends most of her time letting her dogs and bunny boss her around.
Cynthia A. Rodriguez hates writing her own bio. In her down-time, you can find her watching movies, ranging anywhere from classic to action flicks (she has a weakness for Marvel adaptations), and reading any novel she can get her hands on.

The rules: no kissing on the mouth, no staying the night, no telling anyone, and above all… No falling in love
Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy right? Too bad he’s committed to making her break every rule… Football has been good to Drew. It’s given him recognition, two National Championships, and the Heisman. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else. But there’s one problem: she’s shut him down. Completely. |

A Life Less Broken by Margaret McHeyzer was a hard review for me to write â because this is actually one of the rare cases that I finished a book and could not decide if I like or hat the book.
