Sometimes in life you are forced to do things you may not agree with. Family meant everything to Jude Calvert. He would do whatever it took to keep them safe and provide for them no matter what it took to make that happen. Even if that meant putting his own safety at risk, he had no other choice. Callie Raine has always felt a heavy attraction toward Jude. He was fascinating. He was undeniable. She knew there was so much more to him than he allowed anyone to see. But she was a headstrong woman and feeling weak was something she wouldn’t allow. Except when it came to Jude. However, when Jude is hit with the unexpected and forced to rely on others, Callie realizes he doesn’t take weakness easily. He becomes even more withdrawn. More angry. Will he finally give in and learn to lean on those who care? Or will he push them beyond the point of no return and once again be left to face his obstacles alone?

Review :

I had been waiting for the “Undeniable” the 4th book in the “Key West” series by C.A. Harms for some time now and I was happy to get an ARC some days ago. I noticed that while it was easy to go back into the story setting, as I read the previous book, it might be difficult to get into this book if you did not read “Uncontrollable”.

And I did not notice the same thing with “Uncontrollable” and that was my first book even if it was the third in the series. The book picks up with a certain situation that was mentioned at the “sidelines” of the previous book and while reading that book I felt the need to get my hands on this one, as I thought it might get really intense.
But after only the first chapter of Undeniable this whole build up tension slowly floated away and the story changed from my expected “fighter” story to a novel with a deeper concealed heartache. This was honestly so not what I expected.
It wasn’t bad but I think readers that did not read the previous book will have difficulties to follow the line of thoughts of the main characters and will feel that this love is a kind of InstaLove (which it is definitively not)I really liked the developing of the story – even if it was not what I expected it to be.
The writing of this author is solid and the characters a well developed.
I can not wait to get my next book from C.A. Harms
