She refuses to be owned.

Alexa Parrino escaped a life of servitude and survived danger on the streets to become one of the most trusted, influential people in Sector Four, where the O’Kanes rule with a hedonistic but iron fist. Lex has been at the top for years, and there’s almost nothing she wouldn’t do for the gang…and for its leader. Lie, steal, kill—but she bows to no one, not even Dallas O’Kane.

He’ll settle for nothing less.

Dallas fought long and hard to carve a slice of order out of the chaos of the sectors. Dangers both large and small threaten his people, but it’s nothing he can’t handle. His liquor business is flourishing, and new opportunities fuel his ambition. Lex could help him expand his empire, something he wants almost as much as he wants her. And no one says no to the king of Sector Four.

Falling into bed is easy, but their sexual games are anything but casual. Attraction quickly turns to obsession, and their careful dance of heady dominance and sweet submission uncovers a need so deep, so strong, it could crush them both.

I’d bought this book a while ago and I’m not entirely sure why I waited so long. It most certainly got me out of my book funk and it was a good thing that I read it at home, I was fanning myself nearly most of the time. 4.5 “Whatever we do, we do it together.” and “It’s not kinky until you stab me.” Stars

This is the second book in the series and it is Dallas and Lex’s turn. Dallas and Lex have been having foreplay the last 6 years.

Dallas O’Kane is the King of Sector 4 he likes to be in control. He rules with respect but there is one person who makes him lose all that precious control and that is Lex. Lex escaped a life out of Sector 2 and being someone’s patron. Let’s face it Lex isn’t cut out to take shit off anyone. Not even Dallas.

A lot went on this book with the continuance of the sectors and the play for power. I loved that we got to see more of the sectors. I had to search for a map because I got confused sometimes of the setup.

Ms. Rocha blends dystopia, sex, love, lust, good plot and did I mention sex, wonderfully. Lex gives him everything even the things that she doesn’t want to. Dallas is what Lex’s heart most desires and he is clueless. Well right up until the end and he has an epiphany. He proves himself in the end. “I’ll be any man you want. A king or a beggar or a farmer or a killer. But I’ll never be the man who can let you walk away.”

“I’ve always loved you.” A shudder worked through him, and he pulled her closer. “I’ve always wanted you. They don’t have a word for how much I need you. Everything good I am, everything good I’ve ever done…it’s all you. You make me a king. Without you, I’m just another psychotic thug.”

Six and Bren are up next. Not too sure about Six to be honest.

We also have Rachel getting it on with the Cruz although he isn’t the only one she wants. The Sinner of a tattoo artist Ace. Ace and Cruz have some serious testostorone going on.
“See, Six? This is what makes life worth living. Men who don’t know if they wanna fight or fuck, but will climb into a cage to figure it out in front of everyone in the sector.”

One Thing I do consider as a negative I love kink and hot steamy Scenes but I sometimes forgot about the Story as my mind was so steamed so that is why I docked 0.5 Star off.
A big thanks to Lisa in pointing me in the right direction to make such great collages.
