Sophia has problems with her dog. King Triton needs to go to the vet but he won’t move the big wuss. Sophia doesn’t have enough strength to lift him into the truck. Moving back to the town where her parents grew up after the death of her mother she is alone but needs a fresh start and that moment she stepped into the town it felt like home.
Bo Smith town bachelor and football coach has seen the new girl in town move in but has stayed away. That is until Sophia needs a hand getting Triton dog in a truck to take to the vets. And I love how they first meet
He has to be the only people I know that looks good in aviators. Damn good in fact. He starts walking toward me and suddenly my mouth feels as if I’ve been sucking on cotton balls. I swear I can hear that song from the movie Top Gun playing.
I instantly liked Sophia and her attitude towards life is refreshing. She takes it as it comes. Bo was also good to begin with but with his attitude my sympathy for him just went down the drain.
I have never met anyone who has such a strong dislike for animals like Bo, no Triton is not out to get you nor was he picking on you. I mean really he is a dog for goodness sake. After the incident with what happened to his sister and he thinks that he is the cause of it all he doesn’t form any long term attachments. Until Sophia.
It is truly heart-breaking what happened to Judy & Dave but that was exactly it an unfortunate and tragic accident.
He is self-destructive his own worst enemy. On more than one occasion he is a turd to Sophia and I don’t know why she puts up with him. But I guess love will do that, our heroine is much better off with Lawrence. I’d like to see a book with him to be honest.
She’s like a shiny new toy to him but even though he is finished or thinks he is he doesn’t want anyone else to play with her. He fights what is between them every step of the way.
Judy was awesome when she told him to grow up as he was being a sack of shit. Screws up big time and then is a coward when it comes to apologizing. Sophia didn’t let him grovel enough.
Although he starts to see things differently. Still didn’t help me in changing my mind about him.
A light, fun and quick read with virtually no angst. A bonus is that it is also well written now I didn’t love it or hate it I enjoyed it. It did make me smile a lot and laugh out loud a couple of times which I always like but this is your typical standard romance. Sweet, strong and sexy.
