All Noelle Cunningham has ever wanted is a life beyond–beyond the walls of Eden, where only the righteous are allowed to remain, and beyond her stiflingly restrictive existence as a councilman’s daughter. But only ruins lie outside the City, remnants of a society destroyed by solar storms decades earlier.
The sectors surrounding Eden house the corrupt, the criminal–men like Jasper McCray, bootlegger and cage fighter. Jas clawed his way up from nothing to stand at the right hand of Sector Four’s ruthless leader, and he’ll defend the O’Kane gang with his life. But no fight ever prepared him for the exiled City girl who falls at his feet.
Her innocence is undeniable, but so is their intense sexual attraction, and soon they’re crossing every boundary Noelle barely knew she had. But if she wants to belong to Jas, first she’ll have to open herself to the gang, to a dangerous world of sex, lust and violence. A world where passion is power, and freedom is found in submission.
Straight off the bat I can only say that this is a very, very, very, did I mention very? naughty book.
I got this as a deal and it is nothing I have ever read before and I loved every frigging moment of it. It is not a book to be read in public but if you do then bring extra knickers with you because believe me you will need them.
There is good world building in Beyond Shame, set in a dystopian world where extreme differences of life and death matters. There are the residents of Eden who live like Kings and Queens and not in the sectors that are outside of the walls of Eden. There are a total of eight sectors.
Noelle is a councilman’s daughter has had the privileged life that is until she gets kicked out of Eden and lands in sector four with only the clothes on her back. Sector four is O’Kane territory where there is protection for the sector.
She lands in trouble but Jasper, Dallas O’Kane’s second in command saves her and has a soft spot for the damsel in distress. Lex the leading lady in the O’Kane’s takes a liking to her and she experiences all kinds of debauchery, love, kink and smexiness.
This book isn’t just filled with sex, although there is a lot and I loved all of it, although I docked a star because whereas I liked Noelle I also equally disliked her.
This is most certainly a series to start and if you haven’t then get cracking ladies and gentlemen it is worth it.
