Itâs image rehab, plain and simple. A month of fake romance to convince the press that bad boy rocker Ash Black has fallen for a good girl librarian. It should be easy. Itâs anything but.
New York City. Vegas. Paris. A whirlwind tour for our whirlwind romance, every step, smile and kiss photographed from every angle. Itâs all going according to plan, rehabbing my bad boy rock star image by falling hard for a sweet, wholesome librarian. There are all kinds of reasons to keep my hands off her. The no-sex clause in our contract. Paparazzi around every corner. She doesnât trust me because she thinks Iâm a player, and sheâs right. But Iâm done playing by the rules. Iâm rock star Ash Black and Iâve never been good at doing what other people tell me. Iâm done mugging for the cameras. I want her alone, all to myself, where the only rules are the ones I dictate. When itâs just us, thereâll be nothing fake about her begging me to let her come. Iâm a musician, baby, and believe me, Iâm going to savor the sound of her every pant, gasp and moan.
Itâs just a show, a month-long façade. I need to keep my head in the game, my heart under wraps and my body out of reach of his wickedly talented hands. Heâs not making it easy for me. Every time I watch him perform, I go weak in the knees. Every time he romances me over a candlelight dinner, I melt. And the few moments heâs caught me alone, heâs started a fire in me unlike anything Iâve ever felt before. Itâs roaring, licking, burning me up. Iâm not good at pretending. And with the heat heâs building in me, Iâm not sure how long Iâm going to last. One month can feel like forever when youâre so close to exactly what you want but not allowed to touch it. Sooner or later, a girl has to reach out and touch. NOTE: Undone is a three-volume hot adult romance. Itâs the second story in the Beg for It series about the dominant, alpha males in Ashâs family and the strong, sexy women who make them finally meet their match.
REVIEW VOLUME 1 + 2 + 3 .
Let me once again state clearly that I am not a fan of books that are cut in pieces â a series with cliffhangers is bad enough but cutting a good book into novellas is not the way to go for me â having said my piece about that let me get to my thoughts about the story.
After reading all 3 parts of this novel I would like to give my final thoughts.
I am still keeping my opinion that on opening an encyclopedia and check under âsmugâ you should probably find a picture of âAshâ ⦠the newest leading character in Callie Harperâs book âUndoneâ. He is so cocky it borders on annoying â but only borders⦠as he is also kind of endearing so far once you manage to ignore his attitude.
I said âLets wait how he develops later in the next partâ when I read the first part â and I was right on that account
## Itâs pretty easy being a rock god. Party. Perform. P*ssy. Repeat.##
That was his âmantraâ for a long time in his life â but during the developing story you could notice that he was starting to have doubts about his lifestyle. And even if he was kind of annoying in the beginning the story relays his changes at an (for a book) believable pace.
My opinion on Ana remained the same â she is a Liberian in so many ways, that you actually believe her part â but â then on the other hand she is totally not the âgeekâ or ânerdâ or whatever you would have expected her to be⦠yes I guess.
##Unicorn## is a good word for her.
But you also notice how her thoughts change. She basically goes through the full range of emotions. And that was a really well written piece.
The plot itself is not unique but the characters make reading it very enjoyable. Strangely I liked Ana more than Ash â which is really unusual for me. The writing was good and the characters were likable so I enjoyed the book when finally all parts were available.
