Review : This is the kind of book I have never read before! I don’t know how Jewel E. Ann did this, but I can say for sure: she did a great job! This book was so emotinal-on every page you felt the heart the author put into her story. You can see right from the very beginning how the character develops-not only together but also on their own. Characters that are selfless, refreshing, touching and definetly completing each other in a way I have never seen before. Moreover, there was never a moment during which I questioned anything I have read. Never a moment which was boring or during which I thought: “Well, could this work!?”. Really…. It’s not only one of those stories including lots and lots of hurdles the main characters have to overcome. It’s a hell lot of more! So find out, what is meant with the more!

Review : I am sad……Really sad…. Not because this book was horrible! Until I reached 90%, this book was just awesome! The story-line was perfect! I love the way the author intertwined bot characters -within 70 pages!!!! I was surprised, because normally it’s very difficult to connect with such a short story. Grayson and Emma are both such lovely and likeable characters- I am really looking forward to read te second book!

And now the reasons why I am so disappointed. After I reached the ~90 %, the story-line just didn’t work out for me anymore. It just felt like a totally different story for me as there was a big cut which just changed everything . Totally different scenario in a totally different situation… For sure, this is explained in the second book. But even then – the change was so abrupt that I just hoped for some more pages which could have changed my thoughts for sure… Even then I am dying to get to know what happens in the second book!

Review : Some plots just don’t work out and unfortunately this was one of them. There was just too much in here that did not make sense. And even though the main leads had some great chemistry going on I could not get past my issues with the basic storyline. For the start of a series I simply expect more.

Review : I was offered to read this series some time ago and it’s not long ago I read the first of these 3 novels. “In the Air Tonight” was already a very intense story. One that you were not able to put down after reading just a few pages.

Heat of the Moment by Lori Handeland is the second book of this series and continues in the same intense way. The characters are well developed and the story is written as good – if not even better than the first one.

The world that was created by Lori Handeland seems to be getting better with each book. It is recommended to read the books in the right order to get the full “pleasure” –

Review : Undying Hunger by Jessica Lee is the fourth book in a series. And due to the excellent writing it is possible to read this one as a standalone.

But for the full experience I would recommend to enjoy the books in their correct order. I did not have the pleasure yet to have read the others – but I will remedy that fact as soon as possible.

After a short phase at the beginning of the book where I was struggling to understand the background I was able to catch up fast and was directly drawn to this (for me) new mysterious dark male Markus .

He was sending so many mixed up emotions that I could hardly put down this book.Alex was his perfect counterpart. As I said – I did not read the other novels before but the author explained everything so well that it was easy to understand where both of their emotions came from and I could feel their draw towards each other.

In my reading worlds this was a perfect example of a good book in a series of probably also good books. Sometimes books lose their “bite” among a series but I do not see that problem occurring with this author anytime soon.

Markus strode to her bedside.

“You’re not getting in here with me”

“I need room to sit” he said. “Not to fuck you”

She blinked, looked up, and Markus couldn’t help but challenge her stare with one of his own.

“Unless there’s a different kind of feeding you had in mind.” He shrugged. “I aim to please.”

Alexandria slowly shook her head, her violet eyes darkening. “Is asshole the only language you speak?”

“Nope, I’m bilingual. But when I’m around you, it’s the only language you seem to respond to.”
