I can´t even remember how long this book has been on my to read-pile. It always crossed my way – now that we received the ARC of the third book of the series, Scales, I finally read this book. And it was the best decision ever! It´s almost impossibe to put into wards how much I love this book! I have read a lot books and when you read the blurb you maybe wouldn´t directly think of something that surprises you the way this book did in my case. The story starts in the therapy room where you get introduced to the two main characters, the hurt and frightened Tania(better known as Tinkerbell) and Kane who at first seems like the hell of a rock , but because he is part of this special therapy session, you know that there must be something… You get to know them step by step within the course of action which really concentrates on the most important actions- one of the reasons why I love this book so much! Of course there are minor characters, but you never get distractred by them as there is special magic about Kane and Tania and their very special relationship….. A relationship I´ve never seen before. The history of both protagonists is so raw and at the same time so ….different. One scene which I never experienced before in a book is the “touching hair-scene”. I really won´t tell you more about it, but this scene did something to me-WOW! One of the best scenes I ever read! Dale Mayer- you for sure got a new fan! Awesome author, awesome book!

Review I always have been a sucker for these stepbrother-novels. Sowehen I requested this one because of some lines which made me think” This sounds not bad!”, I was even more happy to find an ARC attached to the email.

“Stranded With My Stepbrother” is quite a short novel which is why you shoud not expect a long story including all the details about the protagonists´ past. But! it includes exactly what most readers want to read about in these kind of novels Two characters forced to spend time together while they start noticing this special chemistry. And in this case, there really is chemistry which makes the short read a lot of fun! Within these around 100 pages the author even was able to create “propper characters” even if I have to say that I prefered Bentley as it was easier to connect with him. Sierra´s character is in my opinion too flat at some pints of the charcters which is a pity as she is also an important part of the while story. All in all a good story that would be even better if the author would add some more pages to let the characters develope a bit more withing the cause of action.

What a nice story….. When you see the cover and read the blurb you have these pictures in your head-pictures that definetly got confirmed after finishing this well-written story. With Wes and Carlie, you have to interesting and well developed characters whose past goes deeper that they can deal with. Together they create a very good storyline that makes you want to read the story in one rush. I ove the way all the characters interact even if at some times, there are in my opinion too many characters which can be a bit confusing. While in some situations, the talented author concentrated on the most important aspects of the scene, the pace was too quick in others. But looking at the book as a whole, I really would recommend it to people who love the kind of story described in the blurb. Because this is what you get .
