Three billionaire brothers: Cesare, Enzo, and Dante Sabatini have everything except the one thing money can’t buy. Three big beautiful, women Alicia, Bethany, and Chloe will teach them the ABCs of love. Follow these couples as they negotiate the riskiest deal of all, falling in love.
My biological clock has been pounding. Any minute now, I’m going to hit buy on the sperm that’s been sitting in my online cart for the last six months…. any minute. I want to be a single mom. The last five years without a man have been the best years of my life. Except, I do want kids, six if I had my way. But if I’m doing it alone, I can’t really afford more than one.
At least what I need I can get off a website. I had no idea men had biological clocks too, but Enzo Sabatini proved otherwise. The control-freak billionaire married a gold-digging womb to get the children he wanted, and not surprisingly it blew up in his face. With the ink barely dry on his divorce that lasted longer than his marriage, I’m tasked with finding him a new place to live. I can’t believe it’s really heat I see in his eyes when he looks at me. I’m nothing like his usual women, plus size compared to size zero.
Shock is an understatement when I see the ring. I can barely process his insane proposal of me getting the dream house and the multifamily property I want in exchange for at least ten years and two kids. Wait, what? What kind of effing proposal is that? It’s not a marriage proposal, it’s a bargain—one with limits and terms and signed off by lawyers. I don’t care how hot he is; he’s lost his mind.
So why do I say not yet instead of no? Is this going to be the biggest mistake of my life, or is there any way we can make a happy-ever-after from this dirty bargain?

TAYLOR
I’m that rich girl whose silver spoon was snatched right out of her pretty mouth.
I lost everything.
Now my everyday reality includes sleeping in my car and dining on whatever clearance bin food I can purchase with spare change.
But my issues don’t end there.
My nightmare family is hot on my heels and demanding something I don’t have.
They won’t give up until I crack.
And I’m just on the brink.
When I finally hit rock bottom I fall into the arms of an unlikely savior.
Kellan Gentry.
Brash and arrogant. Prince of the party scene. Notorious flirt.
The kind of guy who would break your heart with a shrug.
Falling for him makes no sense…
Right?
KELLAN
I used to be careless.
I used to be all about chasing trouble and good times.
But watching my own family go through hell changed everything.
Now I just want to stay on a steady path and make them proud.
Then along comes Taylor Briggs.
Two years ago we hooked up at a wild party and she’s hated me ever since.
She’s gorgeous and sarcastic. She’s stubborn and yet vulnerable.
She’s also got secrets. More than I can guess.
And somehow the ground shifts underneath me.
In the clash between love and logic, there’s no mystery as to which one will win.
I’ve been warned about the complications. I’ve been warned we’ll get ripped to shreds.
I dare anyone to try.
There’s nothing I won’t do to protect this girl.
No matter what it costs me.

It hast been a few days since I read “Silent Song” by Jaci Wheeler now. And my mind is still processing the book. So I guess the author did something right. It seems from what I saw this book was the first journey into this kind of contemporary genre for the author. The other books I could see seem more a touch of paranormal. It sure was my first book by this author. And I am 100 % sure that I will read the next book from this author too if it contains a contemporary plot with these kind of “broken/hurt/brooding” leading male character.
I am not even sure what to say about the book because I want to avoid under any circumstance to give away to much on the plot … but I am going to pick up a card from this deck that I rarely play and that is the comparison card… Please let me mention Two books – and please do not take the mentioning of these book as face value for the plot but just as my very personal comparison of what I felt when I read the book. OK here it comes
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover
Dangerous to Know & Love by Jane Harvey-Berrick
I am not going to comment on the reasons for this comparison again because of spoilers (this time because of the mentioned books) but lets say these two books left me with a similar feelings but questions and Silent Song was finally able to answer a lot of these questions. So in any case if you read one or both of the above mentioned books and loved them as much as I did – you are going to want to read this one and vice versa.
I admit to being an addict to these kind of stories so I scan all outlets on regular base for these kind of novels and if you read this review and know of a book that fits these descriptions please feel free to drop me a line – comment – message whatever…
I loved the writing style of this author. Without going into details as you have to experience it for yourself (and please read her explanation so no skimming on the first pages please) I can only say that it was exhausting to read it. I can almost feel your confusion so I confirm. YES I loved it and YES it was exhausting. But it was necessary that it was like that because that was one of the things that makes this book unique and that helped me understand some things. Gosh I wished I had a way of precisely telling you what I mean but really you need to try for yourself.
The only thing I come up with that I can tell is that the writing style helped me understand how exhausting and loud the world is and how full of unnecessary things. How unimportant the words of an answer are when you can read it in the face of the person you are talking with.
There is so much more I would like to say but then I would have to mark this whole review as spoiler and I do not want to do that.
This book opened my eyes … and I feel ashamed that even after reading so many books in this genre I still did not grasp the complete picture until now. I think now I do. And I would like to thank the author for that.

Title: Forever Right Now
Author: Emma Scott
Release Date: Tuesday, October 24, 2017
Tagline: “Ours isn’t a romance. It’s a love story.
Forever Right Now Blurb:
***STANDALONE new adult romance from the author of The Butterfly Project and the Full Tilt Duet***
Darlene Montgomery has been to hell and back…more than once. After a stint in jail for drug possession, she is finally clean and ready to start over. Yet another failed relationship is just the motivation she needs to move from New York to San Francisco with the hopes of resurrecting her dance career and discovering that she is more than the sum of her rap sheet. As Darlene struggles in her new city, the last thing she wants is to become entangled with her handsome—but cranky—neighbor and his adorable little girl…
Sawyer Haas is weeks away from finishing law school, but exhaustion, dwindling finances, and the pressure to provide for himself and his daughter, Olivia, are wearing him down. A federal clerkship–a job he desperately needs–awaits him after graduation, but only if he passes the Bar Exam. Sawyer doesn’t have the time or patience for the capricious—if beautiful—dancer who moves into the apartment above his. But Darlene’s easy laugh and cheerful spirit seep into the cracks of his hardened heart, and slowly break down the walls he’s resurrected to keep from being betrayed ever again.
When the parents of Olivia’s absentee mother come to fight for custody, Sawyer could lose everything. To have any chance at happiness, he must trust Darlene, the woman who has somehow found her way past his brittle barbs, and Darlene must decide how much of her own bruised heart she is willing to give to Sawyer and Olivia, especially when the ghosts of her troubled past refuse to stay buried.
Forever Right Now Excerpt:
“Who are you?” he demanded rudely, shifting the diaper bag higher on his shoulder while hoisting his little girl in his other arm. He was six feet of hotness in a rumpled suit, glaring at me with suspicion in his dark eyes.
“I…I’m your new neighbor?” It sounded more like a question; as if I needed this guy’s permission to live. I straightened to my full height. “I just moved in upstairs. I’m a dancer. Well, I was. Had to take some time off but I’m going to get back into it soon…ish.” I put on my friendliest smile. “I’m a massage therapist now. Just got my license and…”
My words died under Sawyer’s withering stare.
“A dancer. Fantastic,” he said bitterly. “Just what I always wanted. Someone leaping and thumping above me, waking my kid up and disturbing my studies at all hours of the night.”
I planted my hands on my hips. “I can’t dance in a dinky apartment, and besides…”
Words failed me again as the sharp planes and hard angles of Sawyer’s face melted when his daughter–I guessed her to be about a year old–suddenly clapped her small hand over his chin. Sawyer’s hard gaze softened, and his broad mouth turned up in a smile–a beautiful smile I was sure only his little girl ever got to see, and so full of love that for a moment I could hardly breathe.

4.5 ‘with tuna casserole the world is brighter’ stars.
My first reaction when I finished was that I some off highs and lows of a rollercoaster ride and I truly had to let this book settle for a bit. Finding the words for an Emma Scott book is always hard, near impossible if I’m being honest.
Her writing style is flawless and she captivates you with her storytelling. She lets you experience that two of the most unlikely people that are attracted to one another, that complement each other and I got to watch them fall in love.
Her words jump off the pages and wrapped themselves around my soul. With the beauty, with the grit, with the flawed characters. You’ll understand their actions or not but there is a reason to them. Each note for each city is hit impeccable IMO.
Even with Darlene facing an upward battle that smile always shone bright, it never dimmed. The emptiness she feels is palpable to the reader and that she has this need to fill that emptiness up no matter with what. Her journey is a tough one to read and even after so long be recovering there will be a time you hit rock bottom.
She is strong, persistent and gives life everything she has even if it will slip through her fingers. At times I wanted to go out drinking with her at others I wanted to slap her in the face. But most of all I wanted to hug her and tell her that people do care.
But moving to San Francisco are for change to be Darlene and not a former drug addict. Scary but right.
Sawyer Haas is drowning, he can see the finish line but it can’t get here quick enough. Being at law school and looking after his daughter Olivia. BTW awesomeness sweetness with the little lady there Ms. Scott. My hat off to you.
Getting back to Sawyer. He has walls built so high and lets no one in. He is admirable in his devotion to kids. All I can say
<img class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-7132″ src=”https://jerisbookattic.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/imagesQZZGMXIN.jpg” alt=”” width=”283″ height=”178″ />
And Sawyer is a real man but when it counts that he is about to lose everything he goes all in.
I love the dance that Darlene and Sawyer had. They were circling each other throughout the book and fighting it but in the end it couldn’t be fought. I loved that there was such a great chemistry build up between these two.
But not everything is good in Kate’s Corner what I didn’t like is that Darlene did tell the truth sooner and that Sawyer didn’t realise that everything is black and white, he should have known that more than anyone else.
I see so many possibilities with new characters getting a book. Cause the secondary characters were just as fleshed out at our main characters. Max in Seattle maybe? Jackson the sunny go lucky guy? The love for Ms. Scott’s books is real. The ending slayed me.

Title: Single Dad’s Barista
Author: Amelia Wilde
Genre: Contemporary Romance
He’ll give her more than just a sip.
My first and only goal moving into this small town is to crush the local competition with my brand-new coffee shop.
At least, that’s my plan when I move back to Lakewood with my baby daughter. Step One: Open my new shop. Step Two: Dominate.
The other shop in town will go down the drain like a melted frozen mocha on a hot day, and I don’t care.
Until I meet Ellie Collins, the barista working behind the counter at the coffee shop across the street.
I catch her twerking when she thinks nobody’s watching…and once I’ve seen her drop it low, I have to have her in my bed. Or on the counter. Or the floor.
We’re supposed to be enemies. In the light of day, our businesses are locked in a battle to the death.
But at night, I can’t stay away…
Single Dad’s Barista is a steamy full-length single dad novel with adult language and an HEA that will have you buzzing with love like a piping hot mug of your favorite coffee drink.
It smells so good in here.
Dash steps to the side and puts the tray carefully down on a cooling rack propped up next to the stovetop. He takes the oven mitt off and lays it next to that, then picks up a spoon from a tile spoon rest and pokes it into a frying pan. Meat is sizzling in spaghetti sauce. It’s not from a jar, I can tell that much. After a moment he puts the spoon back down and turns back to me.
“You thought this was a sex date?”
I nod, speechless still from my embarrassment.
“What gave you that impression?” He steps closer. The air between us heats up. I want to fan myself with my hand. “I said I was cooking, didn’t I?”
I swallow hard. “Yeah, but you—” I cut my glance down at the front of his shorts. “The store—”
He looks down at his tented shorts and nods. “It’s a dead giveaway, isn’t it? My fault, in a way. I saw you pull in and watched you get out of the car.”
“You watched me step out onto the driveway and that—”
“That’s what happened,” he says, moving closer still.
We stand that way for several heartbeats. His breath is in my ears. Is that his heartbeat, or mine?
“I liked it earlier,” I whisper, putting my hands up on his chest as if I’d never taken them away in the first place.
“Are you sure?” he murmurs, bending down to speak directly into my ear. “We’re always going to be working against each other, you know. I’m going to open my shop.” There’s a breath of a pause. “Even if you beg.”
The word beg is hot between my legs, a jolt of pure desire. “I’ll never beg you for anything,” I say, brushing my lips across the side of his neck. He smells like safety, like cooking and a recent trip to the shower, like he’d never have a reason to run away, even if something truly fucked up happens. That kind of thing has happened to me before. It could happen again. That’s why I’m working in Lakewood. But I can’t think of that now.
The coffee shops drop away into the corner of my mind that I usually reserve for shit I don’t care about, like actually drinking coffee and horror movies. I press my lips into his skin a little harder as his hands slide around my waist, tugging me into him that last inch.
His hand comes up to my chin, tilting my face up until our lips are almost touching. I forget that I spoke until he answers me, his words melting the rest of my thoughts away.
“We’ll see about that.”
Amelia Wilde doesn’t always write about billionaires, but when she does, they’re alphas with hearts of gold and panty-dropping good looks. She doesn’t always write about small-town men, but when she does, they’re too hot to handle and good with their hands. She always writes about sexy heroes who go after what they want and heroines with enough spark and drive to power an entire city. She always wants the perfect happy ending. She will always accept free cookies.

“Lyrical, heartbreaking, and emotionally intense, A THOUSAND LETTERS is a beautiful portrait of an undying love that deserves a second chance.”
– Melanie Harlow, USA Today Bestselling Author
A Thousand Letters by Staci Hart is FREE for a limited time only!
Grab your copy today!
Sometimes your life is split by a single decision.
I’ve spent every day of the last seven years regretting mine: he left, and I didn’t follow. A thousand letters went unanswered, my words like petals in the wind, spinning away into nothing, taking me with them.
But now he’s back.
I barely recognize the man he’s become, but I can still see a glimmer of the boy who asked me to be his forever, the boy I walked away from when I was young and afraid.
Maybe if he’d come home under better circumstances, he could speak to me without anger in his voice. Maybe if I’d said yes all those years ago, he’d look at me without the weight of rejection in his eyes. Maybe if things were different, we would have had a chance.
One regretted decision sent him away. One painful journey brought him back to me. I only wish I could keep him.
*A contemporary romance inspired by Jane Austen’s Persuasion*
