Runaway, the heart-pounding and emotional fifth book in the Empire High Series from USA Today, Wall Street Journal and #1 Amazon bestselling author Ivy Smoak is available now!
To the first boy I ever loved.
I intended to keep my promises to you. I swear. I loved you, Matthew Caldwell. With my whole heart. I think a piece of me will always love you.
But it all came crashing down when I realized you didn’t keep your promises to me.
I refuse to take any of my days for granted. I learned that the hard way.
So I’m sorry. But I can’t keep my promises to someone who didn’t keep theirs.
XOXO,
-Brooklyn Sanders

They spent one night together, and then chance brought them back together again.
Carly
I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve lived a privileged life. But I’ve worked hard not to let my good fortune go to my head. I’ve kept myself grounded, and much to the dismay of my mother and my NFL star ex-boyfriend, I want to do something meaningful with my life. Something I can call my own.
Hooking up with the cute guy at the bar who seemed to figure me out with a single glance? Not exactly that kind of purposeful adventure I had in mind, but I’m living for me now, so what could one night of fun hurt?
Kaden
I met the girl of my dreams in a Denver bar. The only problem is I’m not the kind of a guy a lady like Carly thinks about when the night is over. And when she walked out of my hotel room, I thought I’d never see her again.
Until she showed up on Mason Creek on a mission.
She didn’t know she’d find me here, and I’ll be damned if I believe our running into each other again is anything less than fate. Chance brought us together once, and I’ve gotta believe there’s a reason it’s brought us back together again, too.
Turns out that reason isn’t what either of us had planned for our lives, and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to prove I’m up to the challenge.
Molly McLain lives in a tiny Wisconsin town with her husband, three kiddos, and two adorable German Shorthaired Pointers. She’s addicted to 80’s ballads, 90’s rock, cheesecake, and office supplies, and she’s been scribbling down love stories in spiral notebooks since she was old enough to daydream about hunky boys and happily-ever-afters. Now she turns those daydreams into steamy, small town novels.
We are the ones who walk barefoot through hell, making it out the other side with nothing left except sheer will and a whole lot of grit in our pockets.
By losing everything, others hailed us as beacons of hope. Our journeys were by no means glamorous. Each of us left an important part of ourselves behind so that we might start anew.
We are the survivors.
This is our chance to grab happiness by the horns and make it our own.
Join 20+ USA Today, bestselling, award-winning, and up-and-coming authors as they weave tales of horror, loss, persecution, and unfair struggles, leading to new lives, new romances, and most importantly, well-deserved Happily-Ever-After endings. This badass bartender is as tasty as the whiskey he pours.
Mitch ‘Moonlighter’ Tirone landed his nickname by excelling at two careers. Hardworking contractor by day, he trades the power drill for a bar apron at night, pouring ʼem strong at his old man’s gin mill. He’s cool as the brews he serves until he spies a flame-haired goddess cruising by on a bright pink bicycle. One gobsmacked glance, and ʼLighter turns loopy as a lush. First item on the gotta-have-her agenda: let’s find out what the beauty likes to drink…
His mystery woman is the town’s sexiest teetotaler.
Substance abuse counselor Andy Lachlan possesses a boy’s name, a centerfold’s figure, and a brutal past. Daughter of a violent drunk, alcohol is her no-go zone, and she’s passionate about assisting addicts while avoiding the liquor lifestyle like the plague. Hours spent advising clients or pedaling off the angst on a hippyish ten-speed don’t leave much time for fun-n-games, but this new girl in the ’hood isn’t about to settle for anyone less than the alpha abstainer of her dreams…
Professional partier, and despiser of all things booze. The chemistry is combustible when bad boy and bohemian meet, but can the star-crossed lovers make it work and find the ‘heavenly mix’?
Stung by the literary lovebug at a tender young age, JC has been devouring spicy romantic fiction ever since. Seriously… What could be more delectable at the end of a rough day than a big, bad, moody male brought to his knees by a kick-ass, rock star of a heroine?
Well, besides Tom Hardy showing up on your doorstep with car trouble. Dreaming up “I wish” fantasies while slogging through her woefully alpha-scarce world, JC invites readers to indulge in decadent escape through her foulmouthed and passion-saturated tales.
Clothes, cars, property, women; none of life’s luxuries are out of Caspian’s grasp until the splendor he’s accustomed to threatens to come crashing down around him if he fails to fulfill his uncle’s dying wish.
– Find true love. – Stay married for a year.
Only by accomplishing those two paramount tasks will he secure his inheritance. What he needs is someone willing to agree to an arrangement of convenience, and spare him the emotional ties of settling down.
Paisley Fischer
Evicted and broke, she didn’t think things could get worse. Then… they did. With her mother in a coma, and the insurance benefits running out, Paisley will soon be strapped with the financial responsibility of her care. She has no idea how she’s going to provide for both of them until a childhood friend comes to her with an unconventional offer.
– Her mother’s care covered. – A Manhattan penthouse. – One million dollars.
All she has to do is pretend to be happily married, but a lot can change in 365 days.
As one of Hollywood’s biggest heartthrobs, Anton has everything he ever imagined. A career, fame, fortune; he is sought after worldwide, and at the height of his stardom. His personal life has also aligned and he finally has the things he’s wanted for a lifetime.
* Love * Family
Elsa Fitzgerald
Raised in New York City’s high society, she has landed herself one of the Titans, and things couldn’t be better. Elsa is one of the most successful real estate agents in the entire city, and has the devotion of one of Hollywood’s leading men. All that’s missing is the two things she desires above all else.
* Marriage * Children
Their love story is one for the ages, or so she thought. Just when it seems as if everything she’s ever wanted is within reach, tragedy strikes and threatens to tear it all away. As their fairytale starts to unravel, choices have to be made. There are consequences when chasing perfection. Will they be able to live imperfectly ever after? Or will their choices destroy those dreams forever?
As one of the city’s most eligible bachelors and owner of the hottest new nightclub in the city, Mason’s fame and fortune were amassed by following two cardinal rules:
Always keep sex casual
Never mix business with pleasure
Following the rules had never been a problem until he hires a new dancer who turns out to be a recent notch on his playboy bedpost. Drawn to her in a way he’d never been to anyone else, will he be able to keep her that way?
Rhyann Ward After being awarded a ballet scholarship to an exclusive arts school, this Midwestern girl trades one Manhattan for another, moving from Kansas to New York, ready to follow her dreams with two goals in mind:
Maintain her scholarship
Land a spot in a world-wide production
Quickly learning it takes more than passion, Rhyann discovers she also needs money. Convinced by her roommate to pole dance at a local club, she realizes her new boss is none other than the man she’d had a one night stand with.
Her life begins to unravel when she is pulled into a new and dangerous world. Lust, intrigue, seduction, and temptation have consequences. As the pieces begin to fall apart, his past and her future pull together to create something neither can resist.

TASTE, an all-new sexy, stranded enemies-to lovers rom com from USA Today and #1 Amazon bestselling author Melanie Harlow is live now!
The last person on earth I want to be stranded with is Gianni Lupo.
But thanks to the blizzard of the century, I’m trapped in a roadside motel room with that cocky bastard for two straight days.
With one small bed.
Some women might thank Mother Nature for delivering a polar vortex that maroons them with six feet of solid muscle, those deep blue eyes, that sexy grin–but not me. I’ve known Gianni Lupo all my life, and he’s never brought me anything but bad luck and trouble.
So when the tension between us explodes with enough fiery heat to melt my icy defenses, I should have known what the disastrous end result would be–
A big fat plus sign.
After the snow melts, I’m left with more than just memories of the night we spent keeping each other warm. And he might be a rising star on the culinary scene, but he’s got no idea how to handle this bun in the oven.
He says he wants to do the right thing, but I’m not about to spend the rest of my life feeling like someone settled for me.
But just when I think I’ve got Gianni Lupo all figured out, he gives me a taste of the man he could be, of the family we could become, of the way he could love me if I let him.
I’m terrified of falling for him.
But one taste might be all it takes.

I sat at the foot of the bed and dialed Winnie’s number. She picked up immediately.
“Ellie?”
“Hey.”
“Thank God! You guys okay?”
“We’re fine.” I watched Gianni unwrap a candy bar and lean back against the headboard. “We found a motel with a vacancy.”
“You mean you’re staying in a motel room together?” she asked, loud enough for Gianni to overhear.
“Yeah. And there’s only one bed.”
She laughed. “How’s that going?”
“Fine.”
“You guys are getting along?”
Gianni made a lewd gesture involving his fist, his tongue, and his inner cheek. I gave him the finger. “As well you’d expect.”
“I can’t wait to hear about it.”
“We’re going to try to get out of here as soon as we can in the morning. I’ll let you know when we’re on the road.”
“Sounds good.” She laughed again. “Sleep tight.”
“Oh. We will.” I eyed the length of the bed. “We have no choice.”
After ending the call, I opened the Truth or Drink app on my phone and picked up my wine. “Ready to play?”
“Hit me.”
I scrolled through the options. “Do you want to play normal mode, party mode, or dirty mode?
Gianni looked at me like I was crazy. “Duh.”
I sighed and reached for my wine. “Okay, fine. I feel like I’m going to regret this, but dirty it is.”
“Can I take my pants off?”
“No. What’s your age range for a one night-stand?”
“Hmm.” Gianni thought for a moment.
“Please say at least eighteen.”
“No teenagers. I’ll say twenty to forty-five.”
“Forty-five? Really?”
He shrugged. “I think mature women are hot. But I can’t go near fifty because that’s my mom’s age and then it would be weird.”
“Right.”
“So what about you? Same question.”
“I’d have to say . . . thirty to forty.”
He looked offended. “Why thirty? You’re only twenty-three.”
And so was he, which was why I’d said it. “I know, but I think older men are just better in bed.” (I’d actually never been with anyone over twenty-eight.)
“In what way?”
“Just . . . more patient. More knowledgeable. More generous. Guys in their twenties think they’re all that just because they have younger bodies, especially if they’re—you know—well-endowed. But it’s not just the size of the boat. It’s definitely the motion of the ocean.”
He harrumphed. “You’ve been in the wrong boats.”

Bringing Down the House, an all new crazy meets gorgeous rom com from USA Today bestselling author A.R. Casella is available now!
Can two anti-heroes save the day…and each other?
Nicole
People think I’m crazy…especially my ex-boyfriends. I prefer the term misunderstood. Still, there’s no denying I have a stunning ability to make bad decisions…like seducing the lead actor of the theater company where I just accepted a job.
An HR job.
In my defense, Damien Mitchell is the most gorgeous man alive, and worse, he’s interesting. Besides, I’m ninety percent sure my new boss up to something shady. Why should I behave if she won’t? I fully intend to find out what she’s doing, but in the meantime I’m reeled in by Damien’s charm, his secrets, and also his problems. Because he isn’t just a fantastic actor at a crappy theater, and—
Well, it’s his secret. But I’m going to help him with it and with saving the theater. Whether he wants me to or not.
***
Damien
I’m the only child of two rich narcissists. I’m used to being alone. I like it.
But Nicole’s not the kind of woman who can be kept at a distance. Worse, I don’t want to stay away. She sets my blood on fire and pisses me off…and makes me feel alive in a way I’d only experienced onstage.
I tell her my secrets. I show her my scars. I let her in.
We’re both screwed up, so there’s every chance we’ll destroy each other, but she’s not the only one who’s prone to bad decisions.
A full-length standalone prequel to the Bad Luck Club series!

Nicole
“This is the problem with you, Gary,” I say, warming to the topic. “You let other people impose limitations on you. You need to free your mind, Damien’s friend.”
Gary opens and closes his mouth a few times, like a fish marooned on shore, and then takes a long sip of his tea. From the way he grimaces, it tastes about as good as it smells, like a licorice candy that’s spent years in someone’s junk drawer.
He fires a look at Damien. “Remember what I said to you.”
Damien gives a nod. “I remember. Doesn’t mean I agree.”
“You’re obviously talking about me,” I say, annoyed. “You could at least be subtle about it. What have I ever done to you, Gary? Is this about the pretzel Goldfish? Because I won’t bend on that. They’re an abomination.”
Gary gives me a wary look. “You’re a loose cannon.”
“What is this? The Revolutionary War?”
“It’s a common phrase,” he says, doubling down. He adjusts the hideous wire-rimmed glasses.
“Do you need those glasses? What are your thoughts on contact lenses?”
“You’re changing the subject.”
I give a haughty sniff. “I don’t feel like talking about the Revolutionary War.”
Gary practically growls, turning to look at Damien. “She’s impossible.”
Damien smiles a little, amused. “That’s why I like her. Now”—he casts a sideways glance at me, his mouth lifting a little higher, before shifting his gaze back to Gary—“what are your thoughts on contact lenses?”
“Screw you,” Gary says, but he looks a little amused at least. That’s Damien for you. He has a weird ability to charm people, and he doesn’t even seem to be fully aware of it.
I dart a glance at him.
Nah, he knows.
“I’m going to make this happen for you,” I tell Gary. “Mark my words. What you do with the date is up to you, but I’m going to get it lined up for you. So long as you get contact lenses and cut your hair. Are you open to cutting your hair? My mom is a hairdresser. She’ll do it for you.”
He sighs, and for a second, I think he’s going to make more comments about loose cannons and the comparative non- craziness of Damien’s ex-girlfriend, but instead he just nods.
Excitement sparks through me. “You are not going to regret this, Gary.”
“I already do. I’m more regret than person at this point, really.”

PROLOGUE
JARED
POVERTY.
It’s something I’m not accustomed to, not anymore. Not since my father took me from the slums and brought me to his billionaire mansion. He told me it was all mine and that I needed to buck up and be the son I was destined to be.
He might have lost a son, but he didn’t gain one back.
The car slows as I approach Woodview Estate. It gives me the fucking shivers. I’m not afraid; it’s more of an old memory, like a fire burning in my mind. One I extinguish as I park my new BMW along the curb. The grass is dead, the orange earth is dry, and the pitiful shrubbery is wilted. This place is devoid of life. Like nothing is worth growing here. This is Ireland, so it rains all the time, but this place is forsaken. Even the rain doesn’t bother to piss on the landscape. As I stare around me and study a little closer, I start to notice signs of life.
In front of me is a large row of houses, and at the corner of the end house, shadows of movement catch my eye. Behind drawn curtains, light seeps through the small cracks. I’m sure some watch me from the windows. My presence here has not gone unnoticed. get out of the car and lock the doors. Shadows creep closer. Most of the men have their faces camouflaged inside hoodies. Three houses are in front of me, and I wander toward number six. I’m apprehensive of the guys at my back, circling closer to my car. The moment I push open the gate to number six, they murmur.
Their whispers reach my ears. “He’s with Chester. We’d better scram.”
Like rats, they scurry. Chester must be the man I’m seeking. Warren only gave me an address, no name. I knock on the door three times before someone answers. The guy who opens it isn’t looking at me, so I’m faced with his profile. Tribal tats rise from the collar of his jersey and wrap around his neck.
He draws a drag of a cigarette, side-eyeing me. His hands are coated in tattoos too.
“What do you want?”
“I’m looking for Chester.”
This fucker is a wolf, but I’m no lamb. He faces me, flings the cigarette past my shoulder, and grins. “What for?”
“Can I come in?” I ask, and I take a step closer to him.
His grin transforms into a sneer, but he steps back. “Sure.”
I don’t like that he’s at my back, but I continue to keep a relaxed posture as I walk into the dingy entrance. The smell of smoke and something stronger clings to everything.
“I didn’t pick up what you wanted.” He passes me while lighting up another cigarette. He shoulders a door to our left open, and we step into a sitting room that’s full of guys who are sporting tats just like his. I unquestionably have the right house. He plops down between two other men on the couch. All eyes are on me.
“I didn’t say what I wanted.” I point at the empty armchair to my left. The guy, who I assume is Chester, nods, and I sit down, opening my jacket.
R&B music plays in the background. A fog of smoke floats close to the ceiling.
A guy close to me offers me a rolled-up cigarette. It doesn’t smell like smoke, and I decline before facing Chester. “Could we talk somewhere private?”
He glances at the other men, who laugh, before he faces me. “No. If you have something to say, say it.”
I‘m not telling him shit in front of everyone. They all move when I reach into my pocket. I raise one hand as I slowly withdraw the envelope of cash with the other. “Three grand for a word in private, Chester.”
He jerks his chin, and I toss the envelope to him. He catches the cash, shreds it open, and starts counting. Once he’s satisfied, he passes the stash of cash to the guy beside him before standing.
“You’ve bought yourself five minutes.”
My five minutes are in the entrance hall. I assumed it would be someplace more private, but I take the time I’m offered.
“I need a gun.”
“What makes you think I can get you one?”
“Warren O’Reagan gave me your address,” I explain. Something shifts in Chester’s stance. “You don’t look like a friend of Warren’s.”
I smirk. “Neither do you.”
Chester jerks his chin again. “It will cost you.”
“Name your price.”
He thinks about it. “Ten grand.”
For a fucking gun? “I want it wiped.”
“It will be untraceable. But it will take time.”
“How long?”
He takes a drag of his cigarette before stepping to the front door. Opening it, he flicks the cigarette outside. He pauses before looking back at me. “Is that your car?”
“Yeah.” I stride toward him.
He lets out a whistle. “Touch it and you die.” He issues the warning to the group outside and closes the door. “I should have asked for more money since you’re driving a car like that.” He grins.
I don’t smile. “I’ll give you five grand tomorrow and the other five grand when I have the gun.”
He nods, and I hold out my hand. Chester hesitates before he grips my fingers. “We have a deal.”
I’m ready to go when he asks a question he shouldn’t. “What do you want it for?”
I glare at him. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Just asking, brother. You know it won’t end all your problems.” He holds up his thumb and forefinger, mimicking a gun. “It might end one,” I say before I take off. My car is still unscathed. Driving out of the estate doesn’t make the memories evaporate; instead, I’m yanked right back to my childhood. The very reason I want a gun.
Everything comes full circle. My father once said, “What’s meant for you won’t go by you. Justice will be served in this life or another.”
I say, fuck that. If Justice isn’t served the way it should be, then I’ll take matters into my own hands and deliver my kind of justice.
Once I do this, my life will be my own again. I’ll finally be able to live.

Married by Sunday, an all-new, laugh-out-loud, romantic comedy standalone from Sarah Ready is coming March 22nd, and we have your first look!
Sneak Peek
“Sir?” the snack cart man says. “Coffee?”
The man next to me gives the snack cart vendor a distracted look and then a sharp nod. He holds up his finger to indicate he’d like one large coffee.
Well. He’s not very friendly, is he?
But he is getting coffee…
My stomach gives a tight hungry clench. I make my decision, because honestly, hunger is a great motivator. Plus, it’s fate.
“Devon, anything else?” I ask. I’ve decided that the man next to me is named Devon. He looks like a Devon.
Clearly, he doesn’t answer, because he’s on the phone, ignoring everyone but the crazy-in-love lady on the other end.
I turn back to the snack cart man and smile apologetically. “He’s on the phone with his sister, she’s causing him all sorts of trouble. You see, my husband and I are on our honeymoon and all we wanted was a little time to ourselves. But family…” I shrug. “You know how it is.”
“What does he want then?” asks the man impatiently. There are gobs of people waiting for snacks in the rows ahead of us.
I tilt my head and study the menu pasted to the side of the cart. I lick my lips. “He’ll have that coffee with cream and sugar. A ham and cheese croissant. A chocolate chip muffin. And, hmmm a bag of salt and vinegar chips.”
The snack vendor grunts and starts pulling out the food. I horde it, gathering it on my lap.
“Anything for you?”
I nod, my eyes going glassy from the food smells wafting up to me. “I’ll have a blueberry muffin. An apple. Another ham and cheese croissant. And a large coffee, no cream, but lots of sugar.”
My stomach twists again and I lick my lips.
I set the food in my lap, and then pull out the tray to put the coffee on. It’s steaming and smells so good that I almost start crying again.
The vendor uses an old blocky calculator to ring up the total.
“Twenty-six dollars,” he says.
I look at the vendor, then I look at Devon, then back at the vendor and shrug.
“Please. You can’t possibly get married Sunday. Fine. Bye. I’ll see you—” Devon sighs and clutches his head for a second then he turns to the vendor. It looks like his phone conversation is done. “How much?” he asks.
“Twenty-six dollars.”
Devon’s eyebrows scrunch down and he scowls at the vendor. “For a large? How much do you charge for a small?”

Synopsis
Opposites clash in this wild, unpredictable rom com, where two strangers team up to stop a wedding at all costs.
Nathaniel Barry is monochromatic, meticulous, and uptight. Izzy Harris is wild, unpredictable, and free-spirited. Nathaniel has a trendy apartment, a successful career, and a girlfriend he’s about to propose to. Izzy has no home, no career, and nobody special to hold her down.
They’re polar-opposites in every way.
So when they sit next to each other on the train to Romeo, New York they clash from the very start. Naturally, Nathaniel decides he wants nothing to do with Izzy. And Izzy…well, she has a different opinion.
No matter how much Nathaniel protests, Izzy knows it was fate that brought them together. Nathaniel’s girlfriend just ran off to marry another man, and Izzy swears she’ll help Nathaniel win her back. They have three days to stop the ill-advised wedding. It should be easy. It should be simple. But when two polar opposites team-up to stop a wedding, there’s only one guarantee – that nothing will go as planned.
