ABOUT JOY

As a
working nurse, Joy Wood has been creating stories in her head for years, but
never found the time to do anything with them – life just got in the way
somehow. Five years ago, she was made redundant and moved to the picturesque
seaside town of Cleethorpes in Lincolnshire. She loves nothing better than
walking along the seafront and thinking up ideas for stories. Joy’s debut novel
was written by Joy ‘just to see if she could really,’ – she had no idea it
would sell like it did and continues to do so.

Getting Away with Murder

A romance/crime novel set in the prestigious area
of Sandbanks in Poole, Dorset. A happily married woman thinks her life is
perfect completely unaware she has a nemesis planning to eradicate her in the
most heinous of ways. She desperately needs a friend and has a new one. But
nobody told her that false friends are worse than open enemies.

Who’s Smiling Now?

This psychological thriller has romance at its
heart but with more of a sinister element.
A beautiful young woman makes a mistake and has a holiday affair. But as
far as she’s concerned, that’s all it is. But the man won’t take no for an
answer and stalks her. She tries reasoning, she tries hiding, and she tries the
police – all to no avail. She contemplates taking the law into her own hands .
. .  but could she get away with it?

April Fool

An undercover police officer is trying to raise
enough money to send her son for surgery in the USA. Her remit is to expose the
dynamic and charismatic gallery owner who is behind the heists of expensive oil
paintings. She embarks on an affair with him – just to bring him to justice she
tells herself. But is he too clever for her . . . or is she too clever for him?

Chanjori House

A love story set in Scotland. Eve was in love with
Rick but he went away. Eleven years later he’s back, but she’s married to his
father. Rick hates them both intensely and vows revenge. But hate is a close
emotion to love and retribution might not bring him everything he expects.

Knight & Dey

A hospital romance with a difference. Someone dies
on the first page and it isn’t from a surgical procedure.  Joy hasn’t given away the gender of the
victim, nor the gender of the assailant. The idea is for the reader to engage
with each character in the book, trying to decide which one dies, and who did
it. Joy states the reader will never guess the ending . . .

For
the Love of Emily

Two identical twins, both with a secret. One twin
is in hidden away where nobody can find her, while the other twin works as a
prostitute to keep her sister safe. The bond between the two women is beautiful
– that is until someone comes along and shatters their private world.
