“The feeling I have in this very moment, after not seeing her for so long, will haunt me forever, reminding me why I left to begin with.”
For as long as I can remember, Easton Crews has been off-limits. As much as it kills me, that’s never going to change. “I’m not leaving until you take all of your hate out on me. Let me feel it. All of it. Every dirty look. Every nasty fucking word. I will have it all before I leave. Stop hiding from me.” |
Wreck My World was the first book by Victoria Ashley that I read and I must say the concept of this story is interesting. The author took the storytelling of a sweet small town romance and inserted a strong woman in a male work environment as a female lead.
The reader gets thrown right into the story and it takes a while for all the parts to reveal themselves – but when they do you are going to really like the dynamics between the leads
It is difficult to explain how I experienced their presence in the book. Somehow from the first page on Dakota takes the whole space the story offers and in a way Easton is always following. You can sense early on that these two are meant to be together but at the same time that it will not be an easy feature to get to that point.
And remember I said that the storytelling felt like it would within a small town romance to accomplish that must have been not easy I would assume because these kind of strong lead will not be pressed into a role that easy. Why I couldn’t give five stars? Well in a way because of Easton. I need my male leads to be at the same level than the female or even ahead of her when it comes to being the strong part of the story. Yet here somehow Dakota always was the stronger one so I could not get into the feelings of the story properly.
If you do not have the same preferences like me you are probably going to love this story so enjoy
