Unconditional You
 Stupid Awesome Love, #5

A marriage of convenience is their second chance at love.

Celeste
With debt threatening to bury me, I have no choice but to fall back on my mother’s lessons and marry a man for money. I’ve got an in with the wealthiest bachelor in town, but I have to go through his Chief of Staff, Kai, before I can even meet the Nilsson heir. Which sucks, because a long time ago Kai promised to run away with me, then left me at the train station with no word. I’m still not over it.

Kai
To my friends, I’m Kai. To the world at large, I’m Bobby Nilsson, mysterious and reclusive heir to the Nilsson fortune. I inherit my parents’ money at the end of the year under a single condition: A wife. There’s only one woman who might be able to convince the world she loves me. The only problem? Celeste doesn’t know that Kai and Nilsson are one and the same. Not to mention she hates me. What’s a billionaire heir to do?

Ceri Grenelle is an interesting new to me author. When I came across the plot of “Unconditional You” the 5th book in the Stupid Awesome series I applied for an ARC and while doing that I was asked if I wanted to read any of the previous books in that series so I checked the plots.

And I learned that Ceri Grenelle is one of these authors where at least I have to really go with my feeling for the blurb – if I am not sure about that one – go with the Beatles and LET IT BE … BUT what does that say about the author? Well I guess I have to read the third book to confirm my thoughts but I really think that this author might have the crazy awesome ability to listen to the characters when writing their story. Which basically means that her writing style changes depending what the leads tell her while their story develops. I know how weird that sounds but believe me I have thought about it for several days and this is the only way to explain it … because at my hands I have two books that are that have connecting yet standalone stories with characters. They appear on and off in the books so their stories are close.

And Still I had a (very sorry) 2 Star book and a (must read) 5 star book directly following each other here in my hands – that is what I call a reading experience … crazy right ? So I was looking forward at that point to read the book that I originally applied for because its blurb was not only talking to me … no it was almost shouting at me.

And again I was right to trust my gut – this book was everything I hoped – expected and wished for. I was confirmed in my thoughts that the author really has a writing style that changes with the needs of the character …. From the first glimpse I got at Kai in the previous books I knew I had to read his story. The character never left me even weeks later I was constantly checking when the book might finally be available to read.

If you asked me to make a reading suggestion to you? I would tell you to read Bursting Out first because it will make you want to read this book so much …

When we get introduced the characters in “Bursting Out” I wasn’t sure what to think of Celeste but I was pretty sure I would love Kai’s character. So when we finally get to really meet them in “Unconditional You” there were revelations that explained a lot about how they came to be and I loved how their characters were growing in depth. I was surprised by some of the things that were revealed and I loved the plot from beginning to end especially because the plot was not a simple and easy one. The author really took time writing some twists and turns to make it memorable but again I think if you read book 4 before this it will leave an even deeper impression as the differences between the characters are more obvious. .

And really anything more about the plot I could tell you here that is not already mentioned in the blurb would be a spoiler that I would like to avoid at all cost

My recommendation? Even though you can read it as standalone – I suggest reading book 4 (also because it’s pretty awesome on its own) and then enjoy this one here – and I am pretty sure you will when you like the plot as mentioned in the blurb.
