Excerpt

Once the last two fans left, the guys walked toward the door, eager to
get ready to take the stage.
“Treyton,” I called with conviction in my tone.
The guys all mumbled as they walked out of the room with Trey trailing
behind them.
Son of a bitch.
I dragged in a deep breath, then stormed out of the room, stalking
backstage where everyone grabbed food or drinks. I walked right up to Trey
whose back was to me and stepped in front of him. “You heard me.”
His brows squished together.
“You’re acting like a child. Act like a man.”
He grabbed my arm roughly and pulled me out of the room and into a
hallway, slamming the door behind us. He walked into me so I needed to step
back, right into the wall. He caged me in, his hands pressing to the wall above
my head. And just like he had the other night on his bus, he slanted his head
so our faces were close. “Fuck me?” he asked, questioning my words.
I swallowed hard. Having him that close was daunting, even if I was
pissed at him. I remained focused and angry. Because I was. How dare he ignore
me?
He shifted his hips, his erection pressing into my stomach. “Does a child
feel like this?”
Though the intrusion sent zingers through me, I couldn’t let that
distract me. “Stop.”
“Stop what?”
“Stop using your body to try to make me lose focus.”
He smirked, an evil glint in his eyes. “Is that what I do to you?”
“No, you piss me off.”

Author Bio

J. Nathan
is the author of new adult and sports romances with cocky heroes and sassy
heroines. When she’s not writing, she’s a total romance junkie! Add an alpha
male who’s unlikable in the beginning…even better. She loves guys in backward
hats, country music, the summertime, and her amazing family and friends.

It has been a while since I read Kozart by J. Nathan the first book in the Kozart Savage Beasts’ Series but it only took me a few minutes of reading “Treyton” and I was right back in the middle of the story. That alone is an accomplishment that deserves a few stars thrown in because of the number of books I read in between these two.

You can read Treyton as a standalone but as it’s story is connected to Kozart because of the secondary characters – I would always recommend starting at the beginning to get the full entertainment and to not spoiler yourself.

I loved the fire between the leading characters. Trey and Brie had real chemistry and with all the contradictions that were floating around their story was almost explosive and from turning the first page until the very last one I was captured in their world.

For my very and I mean VERY special taste I would have loved a little more light in some areas of the story like Trey’s past – but understanding “artistic/writer’s freedom” – this is really just my personal preference as the story worked fine without that.

There was a moment near the peak of the story where I was wondering about the reasons for certain actions of some of the characters – but again that was only me always questioning tiny details that probably only half of the readers even would notice – if at all ….

Yes I have an OCD with details and timelines – like – with all the times I have been in Belgium – I never heard of someone ordering a pitcher with beer. Pitchers I know from the States and sometimes the UK but the only thing in pitchers around Europe as far as my knowledge goes are cocktails and only in very rare cases. I think in Munich you might get thrown out of any “Kneipe” (pub/bar) where you tried asking for a pitcher of beer … But is this relevant to the story? No so just ignore my rambling hahaha

So if this story was so explosive and I ignored my own OCD – why can I not give 5 stars? A good and valid question – the 5th star is my “pure feelings” – and the only thing that I was missing in this great story was that I personally had no “heartbreak”, “laughing out loud”, “sigh” or “anger” moment – the story was floating perfectly without and “spike” – and while I know many readers prefer their perfect entertainment I crave these moments like air.

But in my world 4 stars is a solid writing with well-developed characters and plot that I can only recommend and I  honestly hope there will be more books in this series as I can not wait to hear about the other characters that so far have only been secondary. Until then I will read the 3 remaining books of that author that – as I realized just now – I haven’t read so far.
