Ahm yeah – so here I am on the day after reading deep into the night to finish “Perfect Strangers” as I could not put down J.T. Geissinger’s latest novel. I already knew since “Make Me Sin” that this author is totally capable of doing the “Colleen Hoover” thing with you during reading … You wonder what that is ? well that means this author is able to completely destroy you within a few chapters, than mix up your pieces and if you are lucky put you back together. Sure other authors might also be able to do that too but with this special kind of authors like J.T. Geissinger you never know what or how it will happen. You will never know what hit you or when. There is no 75% mark on your kindle when you know things will happen (and don’t tell me you never noticed that …. Perfect Strangers brought out the strangest reactions in me. I was laughing so hard at some of the banter between the leading characters. Their chemistry was simply magic. And I mean M.A.G.I.C. Then I started feeling something was up … an BAM – I got hit… I recovered …. (this is the part where the average writer stops) I Fell in love with the characters even deeper while the story went on – and BAM I got hit again … (this is where the advanced writers end) … but this kind of author ? well not so much because you would have read only like 50 % of the book by now. So in true Geissinger Style …. Get several hits after this … and I am not telling you how many so you do not get to count to check… Just let me tell you – the usual reaction to these kind of writing style is either crying or laughing… – well let’s face it more crying than laughing … but in the last 24 hours I learned something new… after a lot of laughing, there were some tiny shocks, some mayor shocks…. and there was something totally new in my reading experience. My heart was racing …(no I did not have too much caffeine) I am serious … – I was shocked but not crying at all and my heart was racing …. Never bevor did my heart race when reading a book like that. It is so hard to explain what is so unique in this writing style that again I can only hold out the “Colleen Hoover” sign … when really the plot or writing is nothing like hers but still just because it is so special in the reaction it provokes in the readers that it makes me think about that author. Only few authors have this unicorn ability and I would so love to be able to meet this author in person and pick her brain. I wonder where it comes from this style … To be serious and honest – there is actually nothing that I can tell you about the plot that is not mentioned in the blurb … because I wouldn’t know where to start or stop as my feelings are all over the place. Seriously the plot looks so innocent ….that it is unbelievable when I now look at it and consider what I just read. I guess you will love it – BUT you have been warned …
