Series: Lost Boys #2
of being on top of the pile of bodies and not one of them.
her I crave.
threatens to drag her into my nightmare.
demon has no business falling in love with an angel.
after, but she likes to make her readers work for it. When she’s not writing,
she can usually be found in the garden or hanging on the deck with her family
and friends. She lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with her husband and two
kids and their four fur babies.
It never gets old to say: She did it again …. She being L.A. Fiore in this case…. I just finished reading “Demon you Love” and I slept the night on my thoughts coming up with that first line up there. Not very original I know – sorry – but the truth none the less For me reading is often connected to music – and even when the books are finished some of them return to me when I hear certain songs. While I was reading my Air Pods played my Imagine Dragons Playlist and I stumbled across two songs – one being their latest release “Bad Liar” and another one (very fitting) was “Demon” – I can recommend listening to both of them while reading – and especially to take a look at the video of Bad Liar… – Having said that – I am pretty sure that the video of Bad Liar will make sure of the fact that this song will be “my” song for this book. (Even if the text of Demon would fit better it was the video of Bad Liar that sold it to me) As for the story – well …it is not often that I do that but in this case, I hope it is OK if I use one quote I have been wondering how an author like L.A. Fiore is able to create a “magic” that changes something that is Black and White or in other words, Right and Wrong into something that that is grey and somehow is ok, justified and even good – when common sense tells you that it should be wrong. The leading characters in this book are beautifully written and while I personally would call neither a demon or angel – I would say they are burdened and broken – and it’s almost a miracle that Anton is not beyond repair – that much is sure. When in most cases it would spoiler something to you when you have never read a book by this author – all that will do here is make you want to read their story. Or in my case Re-Read their story as I was remembering them. Probably I am the odd one out here but I cannot help but compare every book to my favorite one of all “A Glimpse of the Dream” and that might be the source of my feelings as that is simply THE book for me… My 5 stars this time are more for the fact that this book made me think about what a person is able to endure – how much is to much – and which circumstances justify certain actions.
