“A rock star with no rhythm is a man with no soul.”

– Stone Lockhart

As the lead singer of one of the hottest bands to hit the rock scene, fucks are free, drugs come easy, and music is life. For as long as Stone can remember, Willow has been his music – the notes that weave his soul together. His rhythm. Until he threw her away. All he has left is a handful of pills and a few lines of powder to make him forget her. And he tries, over and over. Clean and ready to make things right, he’s faced with the fact that Willow’s moved on. She’s not the same girl he cast aside. Willow’s a woman sure about her purpose in life. Sure about who she’s meant to love. Stone may be lost without his rhythm, but Willow has found so much more.

Review : When I started reading “Stoned” by Mandy Beck I had really no idea what to expect. Because it was actually at first the cover that got my attention.

I can not point out enough how important covers are for a book – it is the first thing capturing the readers attention in a store. Lately I encountered so many books that really were lacking in that department so I feel the need to point out that it was in this case the tattoo of the cover model that let me have a second look at the blurb.

If I could have a word with that guy I would like to see the tattoo on his left arm in total #laughing.

I was not so sure about the blurb as I said, because could I really handle if this would not work out between Stone and Willow – would I be prepared for that moment ?

But I wanted to know what was behind this guy – The Stone we meet in the first pages is really the epitome of an a…hole – so again I was wondering – could I live with that ?

It made me remember that line from the Blurb

“A rock star with no rhythm is a man with no soul.” – Stone Lockhart

And I wanted to know that guy, the Guy that Willow fell in love with – would he still be there?

Or would pills and powder have killed him ? And if they did not finish him would be be able to get his woman back ?

Questions on top of Questions – but I can assure you they all will be answered but I promise you the process will hurt until you get there.

It has been a long time since I read such an honest view on a relationship. I felt transferred back in time to a documentary I once saw about Elvis Presley and his marriage and I will leave you to read this book to find out if Stone and Willow are luckier that he was
