Hero, an all-new sexy and emotional standalone romance by Lauren Rowe is Available NOW!

A standalone contemporary romance in the MORGAN BROTHERS SERIES from USA Today Bestselling Author Lauren Rowe. The story of firefighter Colby Morgan that proves heroes come in many forms . .

The first time I laid eyes on Lydia Decker, I couldn’t speak. Or breathe. Or string two coherent thoughts together.

And I don’t mean any of that figuratively.

I’m not talking about a guy being floored by the sight of a gorgeous woman—although, of course, Lydia is gorgeous beyond words.

No, when I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker—my physical therapist—I was lying flat on my back in the ICU, high as a kite on painkillers, breathing on a ventilator, my bones as broken and splintered as my spirit.

When I first laid eyes on Lydia Decker, she was a ray of light in the dark. Hope for the hopeless. A salve for my singed and battered soul.

She said she’d been assigned to fix me. That she was there to bring me back to life. She said helping me was her calling.

And then she touched me. Physically, emotionally, spiritually. She healed me.

And I fell in love.

But what I didn’t know . . . what I couldn’t possibly know . . . was that Lydia Decker needed fixing far more than I ever did.

Hero (Morgan Brothers) by Lauren Rowe is my second book by this author and it left me kind of confused.

You have to be into InstaLove I think to really fully get into the speed in which the male lead falls for the female lead. And I have to admit I would have never imagined to find it adorable how the male accomplished to flirt while really being high as a kite #me Laughing … So I guess for that part we should not take the story to serious as I could not imagine something like that scene really happening … still it was really adorable.

But the book also had depth – there were some moments that were heavy on the heart and others that added a touch of suspense into the plot. Again, you will find me admitting that I did not expect that …

Still it was the InstaLove that kept me from falling completely for the characters. Still it was a solid plot that was entertaining and engaging. So I can recommend this book.

On a side note …

While I really liked the storyline it confused me in relation to the previous book I read. I know the previous book I read, which was “Ball Peen Hammer” said that the novels could be read in any order. But for me it was kind of difficult to read about the lead of that book in this book. He was in a totally different setting that seemed to be before the other book had happened which felt weird as I read it almost 2 years ago
