Title: I Wanna Text You Up
Author: Teagan Hunter
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: February 1, 2018

When I put up a ROOMMATE WANTED poster, he was the last person on earth I thought would respond.

He was also the last person on earth I’d agree to let live with me…on purpose.

But, here we are—roommates. I’m certain we can coexist without it being awkward, and I’m determined to make it work. There will be no sexual tension building with each accidental touch, no flutters when he wears that stupid backward baseball cap, and definitely no flirting when we text back and forth.

Caleb Mills can’t be the guy for me. He’s my best friend’s ex-boyfriend.

And that would be wrong…right?

By day I’m a freelance cover designer. By every other free moment, a writer. I’m a Missouri raised gal, but I currently live in North Carolina with my US Marine husband where I spend my days begging him for a cat. I survive off coffee, pizza, and sarcasm. When I’m not writing, you can find me binge-watching various TV shows, especially Supernatural and One Tree Hill. I like cold weather, buy more paperbacks than I’ll ever read, and I never say no to brownies.

I am not sure how to explain my thoughts on this book. I read Let’s Get Textual by this author and had a blast with it. And basically that contiuned with this book but only while the leads where actually texting with each other. When they met face to face it felt like the longest “getting-to-know” phase in the history of contemporary romance.

So I am not even sure how to rate the book because they were like two different sets of leading characters to me. Their flirty written banter was wonderful and at a 5 star worthy rating. While their actual encounters were rather pale in comparison.

Now that leaves me at a loss because I have no idea how to rate this book.

Zoe und Caleb were so sweet and their texting was flirty and hot as hell so readers are going to enjoy that part I am sure. And this part is filling a great deal of the book and is therfore really in the center of attention. If it hadn’t been for that part the story might not have kept my interest because the developing of their real time relationship was to slow paced and struggeld with obstacles that should have been no issue at all.

Their text banter should have helped to advance their relationship. But instead of bringing it to a new level it always felt as if they were starting anew when meeting face to face. And I was somehow stuck on that fact so I end up giving this book only 3 stars because while the texting was an essential part for my taste the story itself did not make any progress for to long.

But this feels like it is related really very personal to me so I anyway would like to recommend this book to others as they might feel totally different. Also I still love the writing of this author and I am looking forward to her next books.
