A gorgeous woman, a heart pounding kiss under the mistletoe. It should’ve been the start to making some Christmas magic, but I pushed her away. She deserved better than a wounded warrior, someone who could barely face getting up in the morning.A year later I’ve turned my life around, made myself into a man she could be proud of. A man who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. And all I want is a second chance with her.
This is a NOVELLA-LENGTH, STANDALONE, with NO CLIFFHANGER.
For a novella “honor” by Nicole Blanchard really has a lot to offer. The writing is incredible and even without a huge background on the character this author manages a deep enough plotline that the reader feels connected to the characters. She even goes further and manages to make this novella a story of second chances.
This could have been a 5 star read if there had just been that little tiny touch of more emotion to the characters. AND the tiny fact that I felt a little out of place reading a Christmas novel at the end of February.
