Tessa Hart’s world feels very small. Confined to her bedroom with agoraphobia, her one escape is the online fandom for pop sensation Eric Thorn. When he tweets to his fans, it’s like his speaking directly to her…Eric Thorn is frightened by his obsessive fans. They take their devotion way too far. It doesn’t help that his PR team keeps posting to encourage their fantasies. When a fellow pop star is murdered at the hands of a fan, Eric knows he has to do something to shatter his online image fast—like take down one of his top Twitter followers. But Eric’s plan to troll @TessaHeartsEric unexpectedly evolves into an online relationship deeper than either could have imagined. And when the two arrange to meet IRL, what should have made for the world’s best episode of Catfish takes a deadly turn… Told through tweets, direct messages, and police transcripts.

WOW … so how do I describe my feelings for Follow Me Back by A.V. Geiger without giving away anything essential …

Hmmmm ….

Lets go for a for this “If Stephen King ever felt the need to go on an ambitious venture and write a sweet Hollywood Romance it would be the even more evil twin of Follow Me Back” …

And my warning for this book would be “Never judge a book by its cover, by its title, by its description … #darn – better never start judging before you read it at all.

Oh and a fair warning … you might feel a little shocked in the end and also the need to strangle the author … well DON’t because we really need the second book in that duology #laughing I honestly can not say to much about the story because its all part of a clever woven net of lies, deception, hurt, angst, friendship and well maybe more ? who knows.

Its scary in parts especially because it is very realistic. In times of social media and online friendships you can never be sure who is hiding behind the name that appears next to a message on your screen.

Unless you met them in real life.

Tessa and Eric are two very different characters, yet at the same time stuck in a situation that is chipping away at their personal freedom. If you had asked me before reading this book I would have never seen a way to bring those two plotlines together.

But the author managed it in a way that is nothing short of amazing. And in case you are wondering – my opening line with the Stephen King comparison was a compliment. I could feel with both characters and their suffocation. It was real to me as a reader.

And while following the plotline – the really very very cleverly plotted line … I always thought “ha I know it” …. Yeah well I didn’t know (insert curse word).

Dear Author please do not make me wait to long for the second part I really REALLY need it … because … yeah just BECAUSE….
