Stone Mitchell was and always will be toxic.
Forbidden.
Poison.

I’d had a taste and it nearly killed me. Now, I knew better than to bite the apple.
He’d betrayed me in the worst imaginable way possible.
Six years later, I found myself riding out a dangerous storm with the cheating bastard.

Truths are uncovered. Deception unfolds. Passion ignites and chemistry explodes.
Adding to the drama? I hold a secret that’s unforgivable. I’m the one that ruined our second chance.

Yet, it’s Stone that comes for me with a vengeance.
He’s wicked. He’s wicked ruthless. Pure wicked sin.

…and I want another taste.

When I opened my Kindle to read Chasing Wicked (Wicked Series #1)by Kathryn L. James I never expected that kind of truly wicked plot the author had developed.

While some plot strings were obvious from the beginning, others where more hidden and some developments were totally off my radar. And this made an interesting mix.

Adding the absolute intense atmosphere between the leading characters this book took care of a rainy day for my without any trouble. As I could hardly put it down to eat.

I admit I was shocked at the beginning almost tempted to put the book down due to some story development I felt might meet one of my hard limits but the author skirted those borders nicely and after a few more pages I could return to an undisturbed reading joy.

I liked the character development and the fact that the author did not fire out all of the plot strings at one time. It was an interesting read and it will not be my last book by this author if the blurb fits my reading needs.

The fact that it received only 4 instead of 5 stars is due to my review rules, which state that only novels that evoke emotional outbursts of any kind in me receive the full star range.
