One old farmhouse brought them together. It could also tear them apart.

Gigi has just uprooted her whole world to start a new life. The unexpected gift of a farmhouse in small-town Montana is just what she and her daughter need to escape big-city loneliness. The last thing she needs is attitude from the town’s sheriff, the most perfectly attractive and ruggedly handsome man she’s ever laid eyes on—and a complete jerk.

Jess knows all about women like Gigi. Beautiful. Sexy. Scheming. She’s stolen his sanctuary, the farmhouse that should have been his. But along with a face full of freckles, she’s got a sharp wit and a backbone of steel—something he doesn’t discover until after making a complete fool of himself. If he can earn back her trust and win her heart, he might just find the home he’s always needed.

Definite old school KA vibe to this book. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
Gigi and her daughter Roe have moved out to The Coppersmith Farmhouse to start a fresh. What she doesn’t calculate into her new start is the town Sheriff Jess Cleary.
They don’t get off to the best start, he is actually Jackass Jess and I didn’t like him. That he can suddenly do a 180 when it comes to Gigi. Nah not feeling it.
Overall I liked the book. The culprit of the story is clear from the start nevertheless I still enjoyed it. Gigi and Jess as a couple were alright but Gigi’s insecurities where getting tiresome. The author has done a good job in creating a solid start to a new series that I will continue reading about the guys and gals of Jamieson Valley.
Who I didn’t like and where I’m likely not to change my mind is Felicity.
Gonna be honest here I wasn’t going to read this book but I requested the second book and went back to read this one before I started the second one.
