Damon
Bachelors Incorporated #2
Allison LaFleur
October 10th 2020

I stood a minute looking out the porthole at the bright water. Damon had been so gallant, protecting me from Nigel’s advances, taking my elbow as we boarded the boat. Did he like me?

Now he sat barefoot with his shirt unbuttoned and the wind messing his dark hair. I could feel a magnetic pull, an animal attraction to such a prime male specimen.

No, no. I couldn’t let my mind wander there. This is strictly professional. I would serve as his personal chef for one week only, two at the most. I would wow Damon and leave with a good reference when we returned. I was done with men for a while. I needed time to get past the disaster with Nigel. I had learned my lesson and there would be no mixing work with pleasure.

Not anymore. Not for this girl

Lilianna

For so long, my very existence teetered on the brink of death
That’s what happens, when you lose the other piece of your heart
I can’t sleep, write or work
Until, I meet him
The one who won’t let me fade back into the darkness
Now, I’m feeling things that I shouldn’t
But the man is determined to breathe me back to life
And, it’s been so long since I took a breath

Zane

I’ve been called a cold heartless bastard one too many times
However, I didn’t get to where I am by not taking chances
I’m the successful owner of Club Syn
And then I meet her
I’m torn between my mysterious caller and the raging storm
Now, I’m feeling things I’ve never felt before
One is untouchable, the other continues to push me away
And, it’s been so long since I’ve been inspired

REVIEW: Rage (Alien Breed #1) by Melody Adams

Rage
Alien Breed #1
Melody Adams
October 18th 2018

While young Jessie Colby cleans for Dexter Medical Industry, she accidentally stumbles over a man in chains who claims to be a hybrid between human and alien. His aggressive behavior frightens her, but she can’t just ignore his abuse, so she takes his picture and reports his fate to the media.
Ten years later, Jessie signs a contract to work as a doctor in the West-Colony on planet Eden, where the Alien Breeds live since their rescue. All those years she couldn’t forget the man in chains. But when she stands before him again, he is not happy at all to see her.
Years of abuse and pain lay behind Rage, but what tortures him most, is his memory of the beautiful young woman who worked for DMI. Even ten years after, she still hounds him in his sleep. Then she suddenly stands right in front of him. Finally he could make her pay for what she did to him, but when he has her at his mercy, killing her is the last thing on his mind. His beast wants her. But if he looses control of his alien side, the fragile human could end up hurt or dead.

The lieutenant took my hand and led me to the dance floor. He turned out to be a good dancer. With ease he whirled me across the dance floor so that people soon made room to watch us. I had more fun than I’ve had in a long time and was all smiles. My smile froze when I was suddenly ripped from the Lieutenant’s arms and collided with a hard body.
“Hey!”, Lieutenant Green said and stood up to Rage, who had pushed me behind him, and I realized with horror where this was going.
Not another fight!
“Jessie is off-limits,” Rage growled warningly. “Have I made myself clear? I’m taking her home now. She had too much to drink and I won’t let some son of a bitch think he can take advantage of her!”
“She’s a grown woman and doesn’t need a babysitter”, said Lieutenant Green. “Now fuck off!”
I grabbed Rage’s arm and forced myself between them.
“Please”, I said. “No pressure. Thank you for the dance, Lieutenant Green”, I said to the Lieutenant, then I turned to Rage. “If you want to take me home that’s fine, but we have to talk!”
Rage glanced at the lieutenant, then he nodded, and I breathed a sigh of relief. He grabbed me by the arm and led me to the door. Outside I tore myself away from him and glared at him angrily.
“What was that all about? Have you lost your mind?”
“You are drunk”, Rage replied, and grabbed me to pull me along with him.
Furiously I stumbled after him.
“So what”, I asked. “Why do you care if I’m drunk or not?”
I braced myself against his pull and he paused and stared at me.
“I’m not gonna let anyone take advantage of you, Jessie. I will tuck you into bed where you belong!”
I leaned against him and looked up.
“Are you going to keep me company in bed?” I asked, made brave by the alcohol.
“No”, Rage growled, but I could feel his erection as I pressed my body closer to his. He took a breath and I saw something flashing in his eyes.
“I want it, Rage”, I said in a hoarse voice and I meant every word of it. “Fuck me!”
“I said NO”, he growled and pushed me away to keep me at arm’s length. “You will go to bed, like I said, and get some sleep. I am the last one who would take advantage of your … situation.”
“Situation?!” I exclaimed upset. “You think if I was sober, I wouldn’t want to fuck you?”
“You’re the most exhausting damn woman I’ve ever met”, he said pressingly.

Five long hours in flight.
Four cocktails in.
Three little words.
Two strangers in first class.
One unexpected connection.
Buckle up and prepare for takeoff as Griffin Harrison and Chloe Adams find themselves encountering more than turbulence on their way to New York City. Make sure your tray tables are locked and in their upright position, cause things are gonna get bumpy.

REVIEW: Reasons To Breathe by Chloe Morgan

Reasons To Breathe
Bachelors Incorporated #5
Chloe Morgan
January 23rd 2019

I just needed a fresh start.

A new place to raise my little one as I worked to pull my life back together.

It’s never been an easy life, raising my kiddo alone, but I find strength in the little things.

The kind woman that I work for has been like a second mother.

And I had no clue how hot her marine son was until he comes home for a visit.

The guy is 100% alpha male. Everything I find attractive and usually fall hard for.

He’s got a decision to make. Leave the service or reenlist? Time is ticking down.

But the longer he stays, the more I want him to stay.

Where love didn’t seem like a possibility before, I feel like I’ve found a reason to breathe.

Him.

Ryder
Bachelors Incorporated #5
Allison LaFleur
October 10th 2020

What the hell did we do last night?

That’s when I noticed, wrapped around the third finger of my left hand, a diamond encrusted platinum band winking in the mirror at me.

Exactly how drunk was I last night?

On the top of the dresser sat an envelope. I approached, reaching one shaky hand out to grasp it and slide out the folded paper inside. I closed my eyes for a second, before opening them, and unfolding the paper. There it was in black and white, my name, Zoe Ann De Lacy joined Ryder Adam West in holy matrimony, as of 4 o’clock this morning.

The man sleeping face down in my bed. The man I had clearly enjoyed multiple times last night, Ryder West, was my husband. I held my left hand up in front of me. At least he had good taste. The delicate rock on my finger was no Las Vegas $199 Elvis wedding special, it had to have set him back a pretty penny.

“You coming back to bed?” A sleepy voice rumbled from somewhere among the covers in the king sized bed.

“Hmmm?” I looked away from the evidence of our marriage, noticing his broad shoulders again.

“I don’t know what the hell happened last night,” he rolled over, muscles across those shoulders and back rippling, and shaded his eyes from the weak light from the bathroom. This left a gorgeous set of six pack abs on display, and a tantalizing trail of dark hair leading south. I salivated or tried too, my mouth dry as the sahara after too much tequila. “but I need another couple hours of sleep before you tell me and I need to regret it.”

REVIEW: Tacker (Arizona Vengeance #5) by Sawyer Bennett

Tacker
Arizona Vengeance #5
Sawyer Bennett
November 5th 2019

I am not okay.

Fifteen months ago, my life was turned upside down when the plane I was piloting went down. Injured and trapped in the wreckage, I had to watch my fiancée die a painfully slow death, which is something that can really mess with your head.

Since that day, I’ve had little desire to do much of anything. Except play hockey, that is. Because that is the one place where the bad memories are banished and I can escape my pain.

But off the ice, I’m spiraling out of control. Losing the grip on my life and putting myself and my career in danger. Now, thanks to a string of bad decisions, I’ve been ordered to complete therapy in order to stay on the team.

The problem? Nora Wayne, my beautiful and somewhat unconventional therapist. I can’t buy into the brand of happy clappy crap this woman is feeding me. What could she possibly understand about the type of loss that I’ve suffered? How does she know anything about finding happiness after losing the most important person in your life?

Turns out, I’ve got a lot to learn, and she’s just the person I need to break through those walls I’ve erected.

I am not okay.
But for the first time in a long time, I know that I will be.

REVIEW: Bitter Prince (Heirs of Havoc #2) by Vanessa Winters

Bitter Prince
Heirs Of Havoc #2
Vanessa Winters
July 12th 2020

Loving the bitter prince will only lead to your bitter end…

We’re always taught that the right choices, are the easy choices.
But that’s a lie.

Because with enough money, and enough power, right and wrong can be easily manipulated. Altered. Changed.
And the Carlisle’s have done just that for years.

They think they’re invincible—but they’re wrong.

And I’m gonna prove it.

Beneath their impeccable exterior lie dark secrets waiting to be discovered. Secrets powerful enough to bring their whole family down. And I’m going to expose them.

I know they deserve what’s coming.

They really do.

But why then do I feel these flashes of guilt?

It’s because of him.

Jude is done with me—he’s made that very clear—but that hasn’t stopped the bitter prince and his fiancée from torturing me at every turn. And it doesn’t help that we’re seemingly forced into each other’s company more now than ever.

We aren’t meant to be. I know that now.

But I also know I can’t deny this fierce forbidden heat that burns between us at every encounter.

I thought I knew what I wanted. Knew what I needed.

But Jude is like a drug I can’t quit, and if I don’t free myself from this addiction, it’s going to destroy me…

This is a dark bully romance intended for readers 18+. This book contains dark themes, including abuse, violence and sexual relationships that some readers might be uncomfortable with.
