I have to think about how to write the review to this… Wrong … I thought I knew what this would be about … If you think I am not making much sense? well, you should read the book then you would be at a loss too… The thing is … There is hardly anything that I can write about the story because every sentence might give away something – especially the comparison to a certain book that lingers in my mind …. (not so much because of the story but more because of the effect it had on me) … It is my first book by this author and now I am scared and there is only are only two other authors that scare me this way … One is Colleen Hoover and the other is Jojo Moyes … In mentioning these two I think I am saying a lot. Especially to people that read books of these two. Such an innocent Blurb …. #shaking my head no …. I loved each and every character in this book – but I would have loved them even more if I could have changed certain things that I can not name here. The writing was well developed and the author did a great job at attempting to kill me – which is not an easy feature given the number of books I read that should have prepared me for just about anything by now. – for now? well, for now, I will take good advice I received … I opened a bottle of wine and replaced the empty tissue box – and even though I “hate” what the author did – I kind of love it too… shortly before the author’s last words I was wondering if I should open my review with the words “Is it true”? Because everything felt like it was becoming full circle… |
