|The Paladin Strike Team #2|
|August 20th 2018|
|Return to the steamy and suspenseful Paladin series by the USA TODAY bestselling author with this heart-pounding novel following a doctor and her mysterious patient as they try to escape a mysterious military force hell-bent on exploiting them both.
Brilliant doctor Marisol knows nothing about the mysterious man whose vitals she monitors and whose every move she’s paid to track—other than the fact that he is brought to death’s door each night by a squad of military grade thugs. She certainly can’t ask the people who hired her. After all, they run this shady, hi-tech compound where she is now stranded, the only woman among huge, uniform-clad brutes.
Chase Mosely, Marisol’s sole charge, knows nothing about who was behind his kidnapping, other than the fact that they want to know about his Paladin’s ability to heal. Nor does he know anything about his pretty keeper, who seems to be working for the enemy, but still looks at him with compassion in her eyes.
Both held captive in a remote testing facility, their desperate stories intertwine. And, as they discover that they mean more to each other than they could ever have imagined, the two of them must find a way to escape, no matter the odds.

Julie Prescott is the life of every party. She’s loud, witty, and uses her body and pretty face to get whatever she wants. She’s never had a problem hooking up with guys, or ditching them when they don’t live up to her standards. Julie has a list of exes a mile long and a reputation to match, but she’s looking for more than just a degree in college. She’s looking for Mr. Perfect.
Ben Sutherland is the enigmatic bassist of a popular local band. Born blind, Ben depends on his other senses to help him understand the world around him on a deeper level. His sultry voice and musical talent might make it impossible for him to go unnoticed on campus, but Ben isn’t looking for fame or groupies. He’s looking to perfect his music.
Julie’s been lusting after Ben for months and when she finally meets him at a party, her confidence is shaken when she discovers she can’t use her physical beauty to charm him. Even though she’s always relied on her looks, it’s her personality that wins Ben over and he’s determined to show her that she’s more than just a pretty face.
But falling in love is the easy part. Family lies, a questionable reputation, and the chance of a lifetime threaten to tear Ben and Julie apart. Can they trust the futures they’ve chosen or will they take the biggest risk of all and listen to the sound of their own hearts?

|When Forever Changes|
|September 30th 2018|
|Emotional, angsty, new adult romance. Standalone title.
Looking back, I should have seen the signs. Perhaps I did, but I subconsciously chose to ignore them.
From the time I was ten, when I first met Dylan, I knew he was my forever guy. Back then, I couldn’t put words to what I was feeling, but, as the years progressed, I came to recognize it for what it was—soul-deep love. The kind only very few people ever get to experience. Dylan was more than just my best friend, my childhood sweetheart, my lover.
He was my soul mate.
We were carved from the same whole—destined to be together forever.
Until he changed.
And I believed I was no longer good enough.
Until he shattered me so completely, it felt like I ceased to exist.
And I’d never experienced such heart-crushing pain.
Until he leveled me a second time, and I truly wanted to die.
But I had to stay strong because I wasn’t alone in this cruel twist of fate.
I look to the sky, pleading with the stars, begging someone to tell me what I should do because I don’t know how to deal with this. I don’t know how to cope when my forever has changed, and I can’t help wondering if I had seen the signs earlier, if I’d pushed him, would it have been enough to save us?
Or had fate already decided to alter our forever?

AKA significant signs for a good book
Here ? When Forever Changes by Siobhan Davis
– (TALKING WITH YOUR BOOK – NOMATTER WHERE YOU ARE AND WHO IS WATCHING YOU)
– (CRYING AND/OR LAUGHING – -OUT LOUD- NOMATTER WHERE YOU ARE)
– (THE INTENSE FEELING OF WANTING TO PUNCH OR HUG A VIRTUAL CHARACTER IN REAL LIFE)
– (REMEMBERING THE PLOT/ THE AUTHOR / THINGS AND/OR CONVERTING CONTENT TO YOUR REAL LIFE)
My Essence ?
And when I reached a certain point where I found myself thinking – wow the plot never gave any indication that this would happen I actually went back to check the plot. While rereading I thought what a clever writing that Blurb was – as suddenly anything in there could also be read and understood in a way that it DID actually meet the story only I would have never understood it in that way before.
Now – after I finished the book I am at a loss – I thought I had an idea what this was about when I read the Blurb but no … this book is like the best and the worst of all the well-known books of the last years out there in that genre….
And with “worst” I do not mean writing style or anything but the PLOT itself and I also do not mean it …. Gosh – Well how do I explain it ….actually “worst” is probably the wrong word – its more the worse that you use if you ask someone how he is feeling …
I had several stages during reading so without going into the spoiler section let me describe it like :
Still the obvious signs made me dislike the male lead Dylan – but that was obviously what the author wanted. So I started to look between the lines and I started noticing where this is going – and from there on it was like a train wreck waiting to happen – like watching the movie Titanic.
I knew what was happening – I was hoping – I was begging – I was cursing – I was hating – oh yeah and lets not forget the crying …. And during all that time I wanted to stop reading because If I did not read it I wouldn’t know if I was right and it would be like nothing happened. But did I stop ? obviously not….
If I would have a complain about this book than it would be – that this book felt to real. I bet you would never have guessed that I was ever going to write a line like that. Yeah me neither ….
The question I asked myself the most was “why did nobody notice” but the characters themselves asked that question too – that took my anger and it felt like I was wondering alongside the characters – kind of lost….
The plot feels like two stories woven into each other so they fit perfectly like a glove. But my love for this plot is only within one string of this story. One plot string I would have loved to rewrite because ….. (insert curse word) I needed it to be different. And the other I would have probably never finished reading because of the hard limit. But it is what it is – this plot feels real and I can not punish it for that – just because I would have liked a fairytale.
I know I am rambling and this review has no structure but to me it is honestly just like that book left me – ALL OVER THE PLACE….
So what is this book. As it ticked of all the right places in my Review Check list – it should be a 5 star read and I will rate it as such but still something in the back of my mind will remain. Which again will ensure that I will keep a close Eye on this authors next books. So in total this author did everything right ….

|From #1 New York Times Bestseller Vi Keeland, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.
It was just a typical Monday.
Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client.
After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed.
Or so I thought…
Until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch.
My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance.
And that was the good part of my day.
Because the gorgeous man crouched down and looking at me like he wanted to eat me alive, was none other than my ex, Gray Westbrook.
A man who I’d only just begun to move on from.
A man who my heart despised—yet my body obviously still had other ideas about.
A man who was as charismatic and confident as he was sexy.
Somehow, I managed to make it through my presentation ignoring his intense stare.
Although it was impossible to ignore all the dirty things he whispered into my ear right after I was done.
But there was no way I was giving him another chance, especially now that he was a client

|I’m beyond help…
I threw a football before I could walk. Everything in my life revolved around football–and I loved every second. I was a star. Until, suddenly…I wasn’t. Now everyone thinks I’m the monster who killed his best friend. I’m an outcast on campus, silent and alone. Then Taylor Selmer walks back into my life. When will she learn–I’m beyond saving.
I need to save him…
Chase and I used to be friends. But after the accident, nothing was the same. We used to have something special–until we didn’t. But he doesn’t smile anymore. Doesn’t talk. Doesn’t play. It hurts me to see him this way, and I will do everything I can to get him back in the game. Whether he likes it or not.
Two and a half years later, Garrett met Hope again. If he accept an offer to provide live-in security to some rich tech guy—it turns out she’ll be his new roommate. At first, he wasn’t sure if he wanted the job, but now there’s no way he can turn down this position.
Only Hope refuses to talk about the night they spent together. At the mere mention of it the color leaves her face and her hands shake like she’s on the verge of a panic attack.
When threats against our new boss escalate, Garrett vows to protect them both. Even if Hope continues to hide something from him. He doesn’t know what it is, but he’s not about to let her go just because his new boss pissed off someone who wants to kill him.
** All books in Dark Water Security can be read by themselves. **
Book two in the Dark Water Security Series by Madison Quinn might not be as intense as the first book, but that is hardly surprising as the first book was really a tough one. Still, the author did a great job with Garrett in creating yet another intense character that I instantly loved. What actually made the story less intense for me was the job the two leading characters had aka the “boss” of both of them.
I actually felt irritated at times because with the plot pointing in one direction I somehow expected something that did not happen.
Still, I can not wait for the next book in the series hoping it will be the second owner’s story – on the other hand, I can also see some other interesting stories with other for now secondary characters. We will see what the author will give us next.
There is just something about Ms. Connor and this series that leaves me with a Happy Face & Goofy Smile.
The McKinney/Walker is one of my favourite series and when I saw this on Netgalley I just had to request it.
Zach Walker firefighter a slight commitment phobe a reformed manho still hasn’t processed what happened to his sister Hannah. But he meets his game changer. Nora Sellers.
I loved Zach, he is a knight in tarnished armour.
Nora Sellers has been alone all her life and it is hard for her to trust people and put down roots with an incident at the hospital where she works she meets the one man that will change everything. Zach Walker.
I docked a star because I wasn’t a fan of Nora but she grew on me and we became friends, we shall never be best buds though.
Waiting for You is a heartfelt romance full of feelz, sweet with an adorable baby (I’m a sucker for single parents, like catnip peeps) that will most likely melt the coldest of hearts.
A must read!
Today we have the blog tour for The Hashtag Hunt by Kristina Seek! Check it out and be sure to grab your copy today!
Title: The Hashtag Hunt
Author: Kristina Seek
Genre: Contemporary Romance
About The Hashtag Hunt:
The only reason Lauren entered the Hashtag Hunt was for the $10,000 grand prize. She needed seed money for her startup, and it sounded easy enough: twelve hours to text twelve photos to someone called the Wizard. For hashtag number five, Lauren needs a #HottieInTheWild, and with the help of her best friend, Ivy, she finds the perfect subject.
The only reason Brenner entered Barkley’s Pub was to have beers with Scott, an Army brother back in town. The reunion is interrupted when a woman is caught crouched in a dark corner, taking pictures of Brenner. Lauren explains, and though embarrassed, she accepts Scott and Brenner’s offer to help with hashtag number six.
While hunting for hashtags, Lauren finds adventure and romance with her #Hottie, but she must stay focused to beat the clock and win the cash.

4.5 # Stars.
Kristina Seek’s debut novel The Hashtag Hunt is easily in the top ten of my most favourite books for 2019 and the year is far from over. I read the blurb and I was right on board with the whole # Hunt.
12 hours to text 12 photos to the Wizard to win $10,000.
Sounds easy right? No it isn’t actually that easy but it sure hell is a lot of fun.
Lauren decided to sign up for the competition to get her baby Paperback Vinyl going so far she’s in the run for the prize money. She’s got her best bud Ivy with her and so they are rocking it. But the challenges are getting harder and harder.
While taking a break at Barkley’s the next challenge comes through
Challenge 5 #HottieInTheWild
And so Lauren & Ivy meet Brenner and Sully, let the fun and games begin because this was a riot in more ways than one. Hashtags and pictures peeps, hashtags and pictures.
I loved everything this book the banter, the situations with the challenges, it is unique, original, bloody hilarious, heart-warming and exciting and totally an unexpected read from a, did I mention debut author. It was worth taking that risk on a NTMA.
I don’t really know how to classify this book it isn’t contemporary romance or a definite rom com but maybe somewhere in between. It is a journey of coincidence and maybe finding love in the most unlikely of places.
Sully & Ivy’s romance is more hands on and they both know what they want and that is one another. Brenner & Lauren are low key when it comes to what they are feeling but they have some really sweet moments. There is no steam but there is passion and well no sex which I am perfectly alright with.
I docked a half star because I got a HFN but what I really wanted was an Epilogue with Sully & Ivy, Brenner & Lauren, last but not least Amy & Moose. Then it would have hit the spot with no shadow of a doubt.
What I would also like to see is a book about the Wizard. Just sayin’ Ms. Seek.

I gave my heart to a Navy SEAL. He took it with him to his grave. Eleven years later, ignoring the yawning void is as automatic as breathing. Working brutal hours, dating a comfortably commitment-phobic guy, hanging with my best friends. Anything until exhaustion—or an extra glass of wine—claims my consciousness.
Then my neighbor’s handsome, enigmatic son invades my comfort zone. He says he’s a tattoo artist. But Anderson Hawkins’ piercing green eyes, mastery of the short answer, weird schedule, and military ink tell a different story. His touch ignites a long-dead flame inside me. A flame I’m afraid to examine too closely, even as I’m drawn to its heat.
Note: This contemporary romance contains a wary, overworked doctor who’s a military widow in every way but name, an ex-military hero accustomed to treading dangerous ground, brought together by a few unexpected twists and turns—and maybe the machinations of a cute dog.
