I’m sorry but does it state somewhere that this is a two part series and I missed it? I am seriously peeved BUT in saying that this book was amazing.

This is told from three points of view. Gabe the sick fuck who kidnaps his best friend’s daughter to train her so that he can sell her at the White Collar Trade. He has an obsession with her that it is also a borderline delusion.

-The training will be brutal. For her. For me, it will be decadent perfection. I will own every inch of her inside and out. I’ll fuck her into oblivion. I will be the very thing she craves.-

-I will lose her for a bit but when it all settles, I’ll claim her again. She’ll belong to me and nobody will say a fucking word. Her father will thank me. Her mother will hug me. Her boyfriend will hate me. And she will love me.-

See what I mean? Sick fuck! But he promised Baylee that he would come back for her to keep her for himself.

Baylee’s point of view where we see her as your typical seventeen year old girl with a high school boyfriend and a sheltered life until she wakes up to find herself smothered in darkness.

-Spent unthinkable amounts of time fingering every crack and crevice in the darkness in an effort to find an escape route.-

Baylee doesn’t want to like what is being done to her. Her body says yes but her mind is screaming no. You could really pick up on Baylee’s feelings and how she was trying to deal with it the best that she can. Even where she lies and says that she loves Gabe.

After her training she is taken to be sold to the highest bidder. Baylee lands with the unexpected.
The third point of view is from Warren or War he bought Baylee for five million dollars. He is different she expected pain and humiliation but is treated with warmth and kindness. War suffers from PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and depression including some delusions. But you get why when you know what he experienced. But he is lonely and wants companionship and he sees that in Baylee. The dynamics they have are interesting and how they try to interact with one another with their experiences and demons.

They in the end fall in love

“I’m completely crushing over this flawed man. And I know that the feeling is mutual.”
“I promise. I’m still yours even when you don’t want me.” His face darkens. “You’re always mine and I’ll never stop wanting you.”

What I find hard to believe is that Baylee’s parents aren’t even looking for her.
Not what I expected and most certainly not as dark as I thought it would be BUT there were some tough moments. Especially at the beginning and when Gabe finds her at the end.

Luckily we only have to wait till the end of the month for book 2.

Side note there were some cases where I felt things that I shouldn’t have felt. Which is quite disturbing to be honest.
