| Now I personally have underestimated Ms. Kay and I will also freely admit when I have made an error of judgement. The same applies here. You don’t have to read the Solsti Prophecy series but it does help as I was a bit lost to begin with and their characters included here that are in the previous series as this is a spin off so I will go back and read them. I wasn’t actually fair when I read the first book Wicked Wind. The Watchers are the Lash Demons that are also protectors of the realm. They win the fight and are in the aftermath of clearing everything up. Ria is in a coma and has been for a month and since that day Arawn has been visiting her. When he is with her he feels content and peace. He is old and doesn’t want to get to close as he already lost a mate around seven hundred years ago because of his duties as a watcher. He now leads the watchers and has a secret that he finds hard to deal with. Here is also a prophecy involved with the descendant of Verdak being able to wield his sword that secretes a poison thanks to his blood and a thorn of a specific flower. There was action, steamy scenes, beautiful moments between Ria and Arawn were beautiful. I loved every single moment of this book. |
