Elliott Wilder has been living a life of solitude. He is the eccentric, a hot loner, grumpy professor at the university. Since that one incident four hundred years ago he has been suffering with PTSD ever since. He doesn’t want to get involved with anything violent anymore but an arch nemesis of his is back and it looks like he has no choice. An old friend pays him a visit to inform him of what is at stake. Elliott doesn’t take to well to it.
I wasn’t too sure about Elliot to begin with, he seemed standoffish but with his interactions with his team and with Jenny he thawed out.
Jenny Piper has been living in the human world after the loss of her family. Her father wasn’t a born shifter but a turned shifter. A tragedy that made her flee to the human world and never look back.
Jenny is a fantastic heroine. She is a strong alpha female and knows what she wants. In this case it is Elliott. She has her work cut out for her though.
The Brotherhood of the Midnight Sun reunites once again to fight the same evil they fought four hundred years ago. Slight problem though? The enemy is bigger and tougher than expected. It could mean the end of the world…Could
With strong Norse mythology being present in this book it gave it a more in-depth twist to the series. With a lot of mystic and magic involved and Jotunheim. Tyr and the wolf goddess Angrboda add even more layers to the story that has written here.
Shifter romance at its best and one of my all-time favourites when it comes to a trope. Vampires? Not so much. But shifters? All the time. The best thing about this book is that it is about Artic wolves and they are completely unique to other shifters. They can only shift at the midnight sun which made this book very interesting as to how to figure out in what direction the author was heading.
If you are like me and see a book you like but the author is new to you. You think twice about requesting it or reading it. You have a 50/50 just of a love/hate relationship. Many a times before I have been burnt when it has come to this other times and it applies here as well I haven’t I really enjoyed this book I wasn’t too sure to begin with but the more I read the more I felt that I had stumbled across a paranormal romance where the author thought out of the box here. On a gamble I also requested the second book which has paid off.
If you are looking for something different then I can only recommend this book and fingers crossed the series as well.
