I took a chance on this author I’d never heard of her until now and well Ms. Wilde is awesomesauce when it comes to this book. I had some difficulties throughout the book but overall I can say that I loved it and the 5 stars are worth it.
Nathan Fox, OMG. I swooned when I heard that name. Nathan works surveillance for The Onyx Casino but he also does some side work for The Reliance Group that belongs to the owner of the Casino. Former vice of Vegas he had a case that went wrong and got out of the Metro.
But the time has come to face what happened in the past because a case has just got personal. His mission?

Nicole Hutton a journalist for The Las Vegas Commentary has been living off fluff pieces thus being the speed dating gig being one of them. I liked Nicole until she did something she shouldn’t have but I guess that is the journalist in her. Either you are a bloodhound or you aren’t.
At the speed dating event Nathan and Nicole hit it off but aren’t looking for anything serious. They spend a hot and steamy night together. They have pure unadulterated desire.
Nicole sneaks out the next morning only to nab Nathan’s file and be on the case but from a different angle.
Without any real options they work together and they get closer on all levels. I loved them together but when it came to Nicole there was one thing that bothered me, maybe it seems odd is, is speed dating still a thing? The last time I heard it crop up was about 8 years ago. Mind due I am married and out of the dating game so what the heck do I know right?
But what would this fantastic story be without a love interest. Only half as suspenseful, sensual and interesting. Ms. Wilde sure does know how to get the reader all hot and bothered. Tingles, tingles everywhere. I was hooked right from the beginning. But I had difficulty with this heroine. I like strong female characters but I don’t like when they are so very in your face with her sexuality but after fully understanding her reasons and her past. I. GOT. OVER. IT.
I can’t wait for the other 2 books to come out.
