Goodreads Review

They call me Rage.
My real name is like a shadow, always close behind, but never quite able to catch up to me.
I fly under the radar because no one ever suspects I’m capable of the kind of brutal violence I commit each and every day.
You see, I’m a girl. I’m nineteen.
And I’m a killer.
I look like a goddamn cheerleader, but can take out a man three times my size in more than as many ways, without hesitation.
This life is all I know. It’s all I want to know. It keeps the shit buried that I need kept buried. It allows me to live without thinking too much.
Without dwelling on the past.
Until him.
It all changes when an ordinary boy becomes my next target.
And my first love.
I have to choose.
The only life I’ve ever known has to die, or he does.
Either way, I’ll be the one pulling the trigger…

This is probably going to be one arse long review.

4 ‘You’re the dogs bollocks ‘ stars Ms. Frazier.

T.M. writes the best non-traditional romances ever there is no fluff, there is no sickly sweet feelings. There is raw, there is gritty and there is rip a part of my soul and take it with you. I probably highlighted half the book, so my fault cause now I have to choose me quotes wisely. But with an opening sentence of; because in my story if you love someone enough, you should first drop the gun.

You can’t help but not like the characters that she has conjured up with her vivid imagination. Her story- telling is flawless.

I felt as if I shouldn’t have liked Rage. From the outtakes from Lawless you can see the kind of person that Rage is.

“And by the way, Rage is short for Ragina.” “No. it’s not, King said, calling her out. “Okay, it’s not,” she said, dropping the fake smile. “The truth is that my name might or might not have something to do with a possible minor-to-major extreme anger management issue I may or may not have had at some point, or possibly still have now.”

“Don’t let the pink fool you,” he said, his voice deep and hard. “That tiny psycho germaphobe in there is the deadliest, fucking person, well, maybe the second deadliest I’ve known and it’s because she doesn’t take sides. She has no conscience.”

But in saying that I love the raging germaphobe. I can’t call her twisted she is different. To understand Rage we have to get a feel for her past. We see her at the age of ten where her parents schlepp her from doctor to doctor.

She doesn’t feel what others feel. Her childhood friend Cody is the only one that helps her appear normal until the day she can’t be normal anymore. Emotionally voided and indifferent. A general lack of respect toward human life. So she leaves everything behind and never looks back. For there is one fear that she has.

I didn’t want to think what it would do to them if they ever found out that their one and only daughter…. yearned to kill.

Her life changes when she takes a babysitting job. No not that kind of babysitting job. Much worse in her opinion. Watch the target. I have to say that I find Rage absolutely hilarious. But I’m odd so that ain’t saying a lot. I love how they introduce one another.

“Go ahead, shake my hand, germaphobe girl,” he challenged. Whispering “I dare you.” Challenge accepted.

Nolan Archer is your typical boy next door. He has just come back home to recover from his injured leg. He lost his scholarship. His fuck buddy give head willingly to all the guys in the area. Under his cute dimple, his shaggy reddish brown hair he is an absolute badass. But I love how innocent he claimed to be. Colour me surprised when I found out who he really was. I as well as everyone else who doesn’t really know him is a yuppie. He has his darker side hidden extremely well.

After a brush death and an unwanted rescue. They become closer.

Rage has finally met her match. They are epic together. They are boom, bang and fucking fireworks together. She is confused with what she is feeling.

The feeling in my stomach, […] only confirmed what I already knew. I wanted him. I didn’t want to want him. I wanted to kill him.

While going out on their first date she runs into a familiar of the Bastards Club. He warns her away from Nolan. Ha, funny.

“I don’t know what you’ve heard about me, or what you think you know, but trust me, whatever you’ve heard is bullshit….I’m much, much worse.”

Nolan gets to see the real Rage and he likes every inch of what he is seeing.

In other ways, she was the devil himself. I’d never wanted anyone more.”

But what they have is real, raw and runs deep.

I wanted her, Body, heart, and fucking soul.

And Rage is coming to terms with her feels.

In its place was the new life Nolan was breathing into my body and into two other places in me I’d though were long dead. My soul. My heart.

And then we have the crass, sexy, totally hot scenes that will make you grab a fan.

Well what can I say I loved every moment of it! Differently a reread.

It took me a while to get into this book, to connect with the characters. The build-up was slow but that wasn’t necessarily bad. I was highly intrigued to see how it could be pulled off what with such a strong female character and whom she would be paired up with.

But once we hit the grand finale I was fucking blown away. Once again an ending was delivered that I didn’t expect. This is one of the few authors that can knock me off my feet. We even get an epilogue and a bonus scene. We get to see some of my Care Bear.

I am now off to pester Ms. Frazier in what is next.
