If it seems too good to be true then it usual is. The same applies here.

Constance Owens has a talent that has gotten her into a spot of bother. 4 statues and greed have led to her sister being kidnapped and she will do anything to get her back and I. Mean. Anything.
Nicodemus Wilde is near the deep sleep of drakon’s where they are never to awaken again. All of his brothers have found their mates and he is alone but is until an antiques dealer contacts him about a statue.

The whole mate thing went faster than it usually does but there inner monologue of oh she doesn’t want, oh he doesn’t want me did me bloody nut in. I mean really, dude you are four thousand years old. You should know better.

So far I have loved the first three books in the series but here my love ran out. I didn’t like the plot for the MC of the book. IMO I found it to be flimsy at best. I mean really Constance how about telling him the plan instead of lying to him and I don’t know betraying him like that? It would have been so much easier but then again there wouldn’t have been a book.

The icing on the cake was when she was told to not open the door and what does she do? Yes peeps she opens that bloody door to see what is going on outside the soundproof room. Woe and behold she gets a gun held to her head. I mean really how stupid can you be?

I skimmed as the sex scenes bored me and my mini rant is now over.

I like how the overall story progressed with the Knights of the Dragon and the Dragon Guard coming more prominent in the book now.

The question now though is if the series stops here, it would be a shame if it did stop because it has a lot of potential. I would like to see if any of the other drakon’s will be found and have books.
