What would you do with a second chance at life? Would you go back to the same things that you were doing before, or would you embrace that chance and take a new path? Being the byproduct of a single parent home growing up, I learned quickly that life wasnât easy and it damn sure wasnât fair. I was faced with a choice back then; continue to stand back and watch my mother struggle with working three jobs to pay bills, put food in our stomachs, and clothes on our backs or do something about it. I chose to do something about it and for three years everything was going well, until the day that my life changed forever. When I met Jethro-Elijah âEliâ Shepard, he told me that just because I wasnât given a choice in how my life was dealt to me, didnât mean that Iâm not given a chance. He showed me that no matter what people say about you and what life throws your way, that you always have the option to either accept it or defy the odds to become something greater. My name is Archibald âRocâ Rochester and when I was seventeen, I was given my second chance. How did it turn out? Well, youâll just have to read my story to find out.
When I came across the âBrotherhood of Misfitsâ series by Khai L. Bayne, I was originally only requested to read Book 2 âPaulâ â but I had somehow the feeling that would not be a good Idea so I requested to read also the first book âRocâ â which was the right decision.

Ana Balen was born in Zagreb, Croatia, where she still lives with her husband, their son (read boss!) and the son’s pet rabbit named Shhh! (or some other gibberish that’s the favorite of their son for the day.)
She spends her days driving her husband up the wall (when he can’t get her ass up from the bed in the mornings), reading and daydreaming, or following orders from a three-year-old. In the hectic life she leads (and loves every second of it), she never thought about writing. But, then one day a name popped in her head, then, the snippets of things, and she sat down and started typing. Next thing, she wrote a book. And now, she’s trying to write another one 😉

From #1 New York Times Bestseller Vi Keeland, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.
It was just a typical Monday. Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client. After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed. Or so I thought… Until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch. My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance. And that was the good part of my day. Because the gorgeous man crouched down and looking at me like he wanted to eat me alive, was none other than my ex, Gray Westbrook. A man who I’d only just begun to move on from. A man who my heart despised—yet my body obviously still had other ideas about. A man who was as charismatic and confident as he was sexy. Somehow, I managed to make it through my presentation ignoring his intense stare. Although it was impossible to ignore all the dirty things he whispered into my ear right after I was done. But there was no way I was giving him another chance, especially now that he was a client |
