From This Moment by Melanie Harlow
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publishing Date: October 10th, 2017
It was like seeing a ghost.
When my late husband’s twin brother moves back to our small town, I want to avoid him. Everything about Wes reminds me of the man I lost and the life we’d planned together, and after eighteen long months struggling just to get out of bed, I’m finally doing okay. I have a new job, an amazing support group, and a beautiful five-year-old daughter to parent. I don’t want to go backward.
But I’m drawn to him, too. He understands my grief and anger and guilt like no one else—and I understand his. Before long, that understanding becomes desire, and that desire becomes uncontrollable.
He says he doesn’t care what people think, and love can never be wrong. But life has taught me it cruelest lesson–love doesn’t always win.
If only my heart would believe it.

I really liked From This Moment by Melanie Harlow but I cannot say I loved it outright. So let me start my thoughts with this one, as it is really the only issue I had.
“It was like seeing a ghost” is the opening line of the Blurb and that really is golden threat running along the story.
I felt like the female lead was really too focused on other people’s opinions instead of making up her own mind. She was literally seeing ghosts at every corner.
And I have to be super honest the “secret” well I read the blurb but still I expected the secret to be something ELSE and not THAT …
Maybe that is just me being the way I am that I did not see it the way the characters saw it but well …
Having said that and placing myself into the story – please do not misunderstand me – this is a great book and well written and #surprise surprise – it is a 5 star read in my world (but hey that does not necessarily mean I have to agree with everything – for me it means also that a story has made me feel “things”)
I went along the journey of the leading characters; I suffered and felt their draw towards each other. Adoring the little daughter was easy as well as growling at the mother.
This story checked of all the points that I needed to consider this a recommendable read to the followers of our reviews. So please enjoy …
